Miyako Hotel Hakata Review 2026: Fukuoka's Best Located Luxury Stay
Looking for the perfect place to stay in Fukuoka? Read our honest Miyako Hotel Hakata review to discover why this transit-friendly luxury oasis is a must-book.
From Fukuoka Airport,
I took the Nishitetsu bus
for about 15 minutes
and hopped off
right in front of Hakata Station!
By the way, if you take the subway
from Fukuoka Airport
to Hakata Station,
it only takes 5 minutes!
First things first, to drop off my luggage,
I headed to my accommodation:
Miyako Hotel Hakata.
The location is absolutely insane!
It's just a 1-minute walk
across the diagonal crosswalk
from the Hakata Station Chikushi Gate,
making it super close and convenient.
Plus, it's directly connected
to the Hakata Station subway!
Having traveled to Japan about 10 times,
out of all the hotels I've stayed at,
Miyako Hotel Hakata was by far the best
in terms of room size, location, and service.
It was satisfying in every single way!
It even has a 4.4 Google rating.

The entrance is absolutely grand.
I gave my name at the 3rd-floor lobby
and safely left
my suitcase there.
The hotel smelled amazing,
and the staff was incredibly kind!

With plenty of staff on hand, check-in and
check-out were super fast.
When I checked out, the Japanese staff member
spoke Korean so well,
which made the process incredibly smooth!
They also offer baby amenities for rent.

I booked the Superior Twin Room,
but they also offer Superior Double,
Deluxe Twin & Double,
Luxury Twin & Double,
The Terrace Room,
and The Terrace Room Suites
among their room selections.

On the day of my visit,
it was ~$256 per night.

This is the Superior Twin Room,
and
it's actually quite spacious
compared to typical Japanese hotel rooms!
It's 30 m².

It was clean, roomy,
and even had a small sofa,
making it incredibly comfortable to stay in!

A lovely tea set and teapot for a peaceful tea time
They also have Nespresso coffee ready for you
along with mugs and classic green tea

An air purifier in the room kept the air feeling fresh
and not dry at all!

As for the amenities...
They had everything from hair ties to body wash, razors,
toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair combs,
a handy hair dryer,
and even mouthwash!

Housekeeping kept everything spotlessly clean everyday.
But my absolute favorite part?
They provided bath salts, which was such a nice touch,
and the bathtub was wonderfully wide and deep.
There was even a non-slip safety handle,
making it super safe, and the water pressure was incredibly strong!

The shower area was spacious, complete with a bath stool
and a traditional wash basin.

You don't even have to touch the toilet!
As soon as you walk in,
the lid automatically
opens up for you—
such a premium and convenient feature!

Comfy slippers, cozy robes, and even an iron are all ready for you.

No need for a 110V travel adapter!
You can plug your USB cables straight into the wall to charge.

The window opens up to a city/building view.

But here is what I loved most of all:
The tablet has multi-language support (including Korean),
so you can easily control the room lights and AC
right from the bedside screen
without ever needing a remote.
It was honestly the ultimate convenience!

Since we were a bit short on time,
we didn't get a chance to use it.
But since it's free for hotel guests,
taking advantage of the rooftop pool and the cozy jacuzzi would be amazing!
I would 200% stay at this hotel again!

We also tried the breakfast
here on the 13th floor—
and I'll share all about it in my next post!
