When planning our 4-day, 3-night girls' trip to Nagoya,
the biggest dilemma was choosing the right neighborhood
to set up our home base.
Should we stay near Sakae Station for the bustling nightlife,
or Nagoya Station for unbeatable transit and food?
After much debate, we ultimately went with Nagoya Station!
After comparing tons of reviews, I realized that
staying near Nagoya Station makes
day trips and sightseeing an absolute breeze.
Plus, the surrounding infrastructure and vibe are so incredible
that it makes the whole trip effortless. That sealed the deal.
The hotel I finally chose was the

The hotel is a quick 3-minute walk from Nagoya Station.
Even better, it's connected via an underground passage,
so you don't have to worry at all on rainy days!
(Pro tip: That underground mall is packed with famous restaurants, too.)
Right outside the hotel, you'll find Japan's holy trinity of convenience stores:
7-Eleven, FamilyMart, and Lawson.
It's perfect for late-night snack runs or grabbing drinks on the go.
Major department stores are just about 0.2 miles away.
You can easily stroll over to Takashimaya
and the Meitetsu Department Store.
But the absolute best part? The sheer volume of incredible local food nearby.

✔ Yabaton (Nagoya's famous miso katsu)
✔ Authentic Motsunabe (offal hot pot)
We ate dinner near the hotel every single night.
Even with a different menu each time, there were always
lines out the door for these top-tier spots.
The location is an absolute 10/10!
Another huge relief:
While English communication can sometimes be tricky in Japan,
the hotel staff here are fluent in English,
making interactions and requests super smooth!
The lobby is located on the 18th floor.
You take a dedicated elevator straight up from the ground floor
to get there.
Stepping into the lobby, the soaring ceilings and glamorous lighting
immediately gave off a premium, luxury hotel vibe.
The staff welcomed us warmly,
and the check-in process was lightning fast.
If you arrive before check-in time,
they happily store your luggage for you.
For the price, the facilities truly feel
five-star!
I caught myself saying "wow" more than once.

We were assigned a room on the 25th floor—the top floor—
and the city views were spectacular.
As is typical in Japan, the room wasn't massive.
However, it was perfectly sized for two people on a 4-day trip.
The layout was incredibly smart, so we never felt cramped.
Our queen bed was tucked against the wall.
The mattress was plush, and the bedding was pristine,
ensuring we slept wonderfully all three nights.
True to Japanese hospitality, they provided two different types of pillows
so you could choose your preferred firmness.
The room came equipped with a mini-fridge, AC, and an electric kettle.
There was also a small table, sofa, and plenty of outlets,
making it easy to charge our phones and cameras after a long day of exploring.
The bathroom is compact but ideal for one person.
It included a bathtub, and the shower water pressure was fantastic!
Basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash
were all provided in large pump bottles.
One of the absolute highlights of this hotel is the public bath (Daiyokujo).
When traveling in Japan, booking a hotel with a public bath
is a game-changer for soaking away travel fatigue.
The public bath at Mitsui Garden Hotel Premier is famous
for its large scale and impeccably clean water,
and the reviews were totally right.
I went twice during our stay.
It's so convenient—one person can use the room's bathroom while the other
hits the public bath, saving tons of time getting ready.
Soaking in the spa was pure bliss.
You can simply wear the provided room wear and slippers
straight down to the bath.
The amenity bar is also incredibly generous.
You can grab hairbrushes, cotton swabs, shower towels, razors, toothbrushes, and shower caps
from the lobby as needed,
and the bathroom even features a high-end Refa hair dryer!
Seriously, isn't this top-tier quality?
I put a lot of thought into choosing this hotel,
and I had zero complaints during my entire stay.
The endless dining options nearby gave us so much variety,
the unbeatable transit access made exploring easy,
the room was immaculate, the facilities were great,
and the service was stellar.
Getting this level of quality for around $130 a night is an absolute steal!
