Today, I'm excited to share my experience at a hotel I stayed at during my trip to Nagoya, Japan.
It features a fantastic location and unbeatable value:
'Meitetsu Inn Nagoyaeki Shinkansenguchi'
Let me give you a quick tour!
I booked my stay here for around ~$64 per night.

Nagoya is the heart of Japan's Chubu region,
making it the perfect hub for exploring nearby day-trip destinations!
When choosing my Nagoya accommodation,
the absolute most important factor for me
was accessibility and location.
Located just a brisk 5-minute walk from Nagoya Station,
it is incredibly convenient,
especially when you're wheeling around heavy luggage.
It really is in the perfect spot!
After a long day of shopping and eating my way through the city,
being able to get back to a cozy bed in minutes made this
budget-friendly Nagoya Station hotel the ultimate choice. 👍

Since it's a place you'll inevitably pass through during your trip,
starting your daily adventures from here is incredibly easy!

Exterior
As you would expect from a quality business hotel, the exterior
was clean, modern, and very sleek.

Thanks to the prominent signage,
it was super easy to spot from a distance.
The surrounding streets are clean and well-lit,
so even walking back late at night
felt completely safe and comfortable.
Lobby, Check-in & Amenities
✔️ Check-in: 15:00
✔️ Check-out: 10:00
Stepping inside, you're greeted by a clean, inviting lobby.
The front desk staff welcomed us with warm smiles,
making our check-in process incredibly smooth.
They also have a great guidance system in place
for international travelers.

One handy feature was the "Amenity Bar" in the lobby,
where you can freely pick up
any extra toiletries you might need.
(Basic amenities are also provided in the room.)
When checking out, you can easily return your key cards using the express machine.

Since it was quite hot on the day we visited,
we were so grateful for the water purifier, ice machine, and complimentary coffee available!
Room Tour: Double Room
We stayed in a standard Double Room.
Although it was cozy and compact,
the space was modern and spotless,
making our entire stay super comfortable.

The bedding was wonderfully crisp and fluffy,
and being on a higher floor meant we heard virtually no street noise.
It was the perfect spot to get a good night's sleep and recharge after a day of exploring!

The room had a fridge, and the Wi-Fi was super fast and stable,
so it was perfect for catching up on some quick work, like sorting through my photos!

We were assigned a room on the 8th floor,
and the view of the vibrant Nagoya cityscape through the window of our high-floor room
was incredibly open, gorgeous, and absolutely lovely.
The sunset view in the evening was stunning,
and it was the perfect spot to sip a beer while enjoying the night views
and soaking in the cozy, romantic atmosphere.

The bathroom came stocked with all the basic amenities,
and the water pressure was so strong it rivaled a natural hot spring!
The drainage worked perfectly, too.

Even though it wasn't huge, there was a bathtub,
allowing us to wrap up our last night in Nagoya
with a warm, relaxing soak.
Compared to the room size, the bathroom felt quite spacious.
It was so nice to enjoy a relaxing bath right in the comfort of our room
without having to visit a public bathhouse. There was plenty of hot water,
and the water pressure was seriously fantastic.

Breakfast (Not Used)
Breakfast is served buffet-style
at the tonkatsu specialty restaurant on the 1st floor of the hotel.
We had a busy schedule the next morning, so we didn't get to try it,
but we saw plenty of other guests heading in to eat.
The spread seems to feature a well-balanced, hearty mix
of neat Japanese home-style dishes and Western options.
Plus, a huge perk is that you can easily try Nagoya's famous
red miso katsu first thing in the morning!
