Usually, I try to stay somewhere new for each review, but this place? I came back.

That's because I recently experienced the magic of hotels with coworking spaces (or shared lobby areas) on my last trip to Japan, and this spot has it too.

While many places with these kinds of communal vibes are dorm-style,

I'm past my dorm days, and not having a private space can be a bit inconvenient.

The perfect solution? Private rooms! And luckily, many modern hostels and coworking hotels now offer individual rooms alongside their dorm options.

This way, you get the best of both worlds: the vibrant community feel of the shared lobby combined with the comfort of your own private space.

Last time I visited this District 1 Ho Chi Minh hotel, the private rooms were fully booked, so I made sure to snag one this time around.

Affordable Ho Chi Minh Stays

First, let's take a look at the room. This time, I stayed in a Studio City View Room.

Don't expect a breathtaking panoramic vista from the window.

It's a typical city view from a Ho Chi Minh downtown hotel.

Naturally, there's nothing particularly special about it.

However, having a window keeps the room from feeling stuffy, and you can wake up to natural sunlight.

The room features the bed by the window, with the bathroom and toilet tucked behind it, and an additional sink just outside the main bathroom area.

In one corner, there's a compact sofa and a small table.

It's a cozy size, but super useful for a quick sit-down or enjoying a snack.

The bathroom has a shower but no bathtub, complete with essential amenities.

To get a full sense of the space, a video is always better than photos.

One pleasant surprise was the hairdryer – it was actually pretty good! I usually don't have high expectations for amenities in budget-friendly places, so this was a definite bonus.

The lobby boasts a fantastic shared coworking space.

It's perfect for catching up on work, and with an induction cooktop and microwave, you can even whip up a quick meal.

My only slight disappointment was the lack of drip coffee – usually, places like this have it readily available, but here it's instant only. Still, for an affordable Ho Chi Minh hotel, it's a minor detail I can overlook.

I suspect it's because there's a great cafe right outside.

You can grab a coffee there and enjoy it indoors or at the outdoor seating area.

The outdoor area is popular with both guests and locals from morning.

Oh, and there's a slide! I rode it last time, so I skipped it this visit.

Nobody seems to use it during the day, so I sneaked a quick ride early one morning, haha!

Ho Chi Minh City Center Accommodation

This District 1 Ho Chi Minh hotel is perfectly situated in the Le Thanh Ton area of Ho Chi Minh City.

You'll find Miunmiu Spa and Pizza 4P's nearby, and my favorite, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, is just a pleasant stroll away. It's an ideal Ho Chi Minh accommodation location for exploring on foot.

Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 12:00 PM. With 24-hour staff at the desk, late-night arrivals are no problem at all.

Overall, it's a fantastic value Ho Chi Minh District 1 stay.
