eha fruit & vege bistro
This Malacca gem, famous for its incredible mango bingsu!
While I initially found it on TripAdvisor as "eha fruit & vege bistro,"
it's listed on local maps as "eha juice & veggie bistro."
Either way, you'll find the exact location of this bingsu haven at the bottom of this post!❗

eha juice & veggie bistro was actually
recommended by our Malaysian travel guide.
Apparently, their durian bingsu is quite famous, but I'm not a big fan of durian, so I opted for the mango and dragon fruit bingsu instead!
My travel companions ordered the durian bingsu, and I tried a bite – it had a slightly nutty flavor, but it still wasn't for me.
It's more palatable than I expected, but not something I'd actively seek out. Still, if you're curious, it might be worth trying for the experience!
🔻My Malacca Travel Diary🔻

Malacca, a fantastic day trip from Kuala Lumpur, offers a completely different vibe from the bustling city. It's a charming destination, though it can get quite warm walking around.
That's precisely why it's essential to punctuate your explorations with cool, delicious treats like bingsu!

I snapped a few photos of the interior of eha fruit & vege bistro.
It's not overly fancy, but it has a wonderful, authentic travel destination feel that I really enjoyed.

The walls are adorned with cute fruit-shaped decorations.
They add a charming touch!

Here's a peek at the menu...

I can't recall exactly, but I think they also provided a menu with pictures before we ordered, which was helpful since this one can be a bit hard to decipher. Anyway, we ordered the mango & dragon fruit bingsu!

The side plates felt a bit unusual for a bingsu spot, but that's part of its unique charm.

And here it is, the dragon fruit & mango bingsu! It's served in a rather distinctive pot – I'm not sure what you'd call this type of pot, but it has a long handle and is piled high with fresh fruit over shaved ice.

Inside, you'll find shaved ice, but it's not the creamy, milk-based kind many are used to. Instead, it’s a more crystalline, water-based ice. While I usually prefer a creamier texture, the crispness here perfectly complemented the fresh fruit and ice cream, creating a delightful harmony.

Even just the mango and ice cream alone were incredibly delicious. I think they could easily sell this as a stand-alone mango ice cream!

Overall, the fresh fruit, ice cream, syrup, and ice all combined beautifully to create a truly delicious treat. It was perfectly sweet and wonderfully refreshing – exactly what you need in Malacca's warm climate. The sweetness level was just right, not overwhelmingly sugary, which made the bingsu at Malacca's eha fruit & vege bistro even more enjoyable.

While I'm not a huge fan of dragon fruit, the mango was incredibly soft, sweet, and absolutely delicious. I think a bingsu with just mango would be even more heavenly!
I can't quite remember if a pure mango bingsu option was available at the time, but if it is, that's what I'd recommend.

The interior is charming, with a distinct travel vibe and a touch of old-school character. We enjoyed the mango bingsu, but since this Malacca spot is also known for its durian bingsu, if you're feeling adventurous, it might be a fun experience to try it (even if it wasn't my personal favorite). For my taste, the mango bingsu definitely won!
When you're exploring Malacca in the heat, it's easy to get tired and lose energy. That's when a sweet and refreshing fruit bingsu from eha juice & veggie bistro is the perfect pick-me-up to recharge and keep you going.

Right next door, you'll find a cute souvenir shop selling illustrated T-shirts. If you have some time and appreciate charming souvenirs, I highly recommend popping in. I bought two T-shirts myself and they've become my favorite sleepwear! There are so many adorable items to browse, it's definitely worth a visit. It's right beside the bingsu place, so you can't miss it! :D
