KL Family Residence 2026 Review: Bukit Bintang's Best Views
Struggling to find spacious, affordable accommodation for your large family in Kuala Lumpur? We found a hidden gem in Bukit Bintang with 3 bedrooms and epic views!

When preparing for our big family trip to Kuala Lumpur,
the hardest part was definitely finding the right
accommodation.
With a group of eight moving together,
booking three or four hotel rooms would have
blown our budget out of the water.
Plus, sleeping in separate rooms would have really
taken away from the whole point of a family trip, wouldn't it?
And let's be honest, narrow hotel rooms would have been
incredibly uncomfortable with kids in tow.

After countless hours of meticulous online searching, tirelessly sifting through
countless accommodations in Kuala Lumpur, I finally stumbled upon an absolute gem!
This **residence in the heart of Bukit Bintang** boasts
incredible views, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious living room,
all for less than half the price of a hotel!

While it might still be a bit of a hidden gem for some,
if you're feeling stressed about finding the perfect accommodation
for your big family trip to Kuala Lumpur like I was, you absolutely need to check this place out!
Heads up: this place books up fast, especially during peak season, so grab your dates quickly!
I'll share the name and a link to this fantastic spot below.

Perfectly Tailored for a Big Family of 8: Ideal Space Separation and a Spacious Living Room
Step inside, and you'll find
a spacious living room and kitchen, where you can comfortably
take off your shoes, just like home.

For trips with kids and parents,
a living room like this is absolutely essential – a cozy spot
where everyone can gather, share late-night snacks, and chat away!
It was perfectly sized, spacious enough for all eight of us to gather comfortably.

Three bedrooms, two bathrooms!
The First Bedroom: Beds that comfortably sleep 5 people

The Second Bedroom: Two double beds, sleeping a total of 4 people.

The Third Bedroom: One double bed
(No photo of the third bedroom, unfortunately 😢)
In one corner of the living room, there was even a foosball table
that the kids absolutely loved,

The main guard on the first floor provided excellent security,
and even though check-in was contactless, we felt incredibly safe and
comfortable throughout our entire 7-day stay.
Accommodation with Night Views of Kuala Lumpur's Top 3 Landmarks
The panoramic window views from the living room and even the bedrooms,
including the Twin Towers, were absolutely breathtaking – truly a work of art!

This is hands down the biggest reason to book this accommodation!
You'd be hard-pressed to find a view like this at such a price anywhere else!
Kuala Lumpur's iconic global landmarks unfold
before your eyes in a breathtaking panorama.
The Merdeka 118, completed in 2023 and reportedly constructed by Samsung C&T,
stands majestically right before you, towering as the world's second-tallest building,

You can take in Pavilion KL Shopping Mall,
the Twin Towers, and even the KL Tower,
all in a single glance.

Waking up in the morning to a sprawling city view right before your eyes,
And when night falls, the iconic landmarks
put on a spectacular light show.
No need to spend a fortune finding a rooftop bar;
from the comfort of the living room, with the cool air-conditioning,
the night view was simply unbeatable.

Kitchen facilities, a washing machine, and even a private pool!
For large family trips, especially when traveling with parents and children,
these amenities are practically a must-have.
The kitchen and laundry facilities were absolutely perfect.

Not only were there a microwave, rice cooker, and water purifier,
but also plenty of cooking utensils and tableware, making simple meals a breeze.
We brought in takeout and bought some fruits,
and everyone loved eating them together in the living room.

And thanks to the drum washing machine in the bathroom,
we could keep our sweat-soaked clothes fresh and clean every day
during our hot Southeast Asian trip.
The convenience store on the first floor sells detergent,
but I heard about the washing machine beforehand
and packed some laundry pods.

The rooftop pool with its Merdeka 118 view was also
absolutely fantastic.
The kids had a blast playing in the pool for ages.

Are there any downsides? My Honest Review
While everything might seem perfect,
for an objective assessment, let me briefly highlight a few minor drawbacks as well.
This isn't a recently built, brand-new 5-star hotel,
so you might notice some signs of age or minor wear and tear.

Also, typical of Southeast Asian residences, some reviews mentioned a bit of a 'luck of the draw' situation with ants appearing
depending on the floor or unit.
Fortunately, our high-floor unit was ant-free
and very pleasant. If you're sensitive to bugs,
be sure to request a high-floor assignment when booking.

What's more, the ability to bring in durian and mangosteen,
which are strictly prohibited in 5-star hotels,
is a huge advantage for family travelers.
You can comfortably enjoy these fruits right in your accommodation –
fruits that are often quite a challenge to eat even sitting out on the street.
As for trash disposal, simply bag it up and place it
into the collection bin available on each floor – it's that easy.
Essential Things to Check Before Booking
This is arguably the biggest advantage of this accommodation!
Located in the heart of Bukit Bintang, you can reach Pavilion,
Jalan Alor Night Market, and the Monorail station
all within a quick 5-minute walk.
Having so many great restaurants nearby was incredibly convenient!!

But here's a crucial heads-up!!!!
There are only a few 3-bedroom large units per floor,
so during peak season or weekends, they get
fully booked 3-4 months in advance.
This is because it's rare to find a cost-effective residence in Kuala Lumpur
that can accommodate large families.
I even booked this accommodation 5 months before my trip.

If you're a large family traveler who has already booked flights,
the reservations can fill up while you hesitate,
so make sure to book with a free cancellation option.
I highly recommend securing your dates in advance!
I've personally scouted out these incredible accommodation details, along with current special discount rates.
