By the time I reached my accommodation in Bukit Bintang, it was already past 11 PM.

This time, for my trip, I decided to stay one night at a nearby hotel after arriving at the airport,

then travel to Malacca the next day.

So, I started looking for a unique and charming place to stay

When choosing accommodation near Kuala Lumpur Airport,

the most crucial factors are accessibility and transportation to and from the airport.

Ibis Styles Sepang KLIA is located about

a 15-20 minute drive from the airport,

making it the perfect choice if you arrive late at night or need to leave early in the morning.

When coming from the airport to the hotel, you just need to go to the designated pick-up spot according to the timetable.

However, when going from the hotel to the airport, you must inform the staff of your desired shuttle time during check-in.

So, make sure to keep this in mind!

We were scheduled to travel to Malacca the next day.

After arriving at the airport, we had a quick dinner there,

then took the free shuttle bus to the hotel

and checked in.

The journey from Busan, through Hanoi, and then to KL

was quite a bit longer than expected,

so I truly felt it was a great decision to rest for a day.

2. Eco-Friendly Single-Story Structure & A Truly Healing Pool

If you're picturing a typical high-rise business hotel,

this place was a bit unique.

It felt like a villa with a single-story layout,

which was quite interesting.

A lush, resort-like garden and swimming pool

The guest rooms are set in low, single-story buildings,

and the pool right next to the garden and lobby felt incredibly peaceful.

With its eco-friendly vibe, it feels less like an airport transit stop

and more like a proper holiday resort!

If there's any downside, it's that since it's all single-story,

the walk to the room felt a bit long.

(Dragging luggage when you're already exhausted makes it feel even longer!)

It's the perfect spot to spend a day or two near the airport

just taking it easy and unwinding.

Highly recommended especially for those heading off to Penang or Langkawi next!

3. Great Value in the ~$74 Range & Clean Room Condition

I loved that it was easy on the wallet

while still maintaining clean and comfortable rooms.

When I stayed, it was about ~$74 per night for two people.

While it varies depending on booking dates and breakfast options,

you can usually get it for around ~$74.

Most importantly, it was much cheaper than staying right inside the airport!

That was a huge plus.

Honestly, that might have been the biggest reason of all...

4. Want to Head Straight from the Airport to the City Center?

While taking a breather at an airport-adjacent hotel is great,

heading straight to your main accommodation is also a solid option.

Especially if you've got plenty of energy left!

Or, if you just can't be bothered with packing and unpacking twice,

going straight into town might be the way to go.

5. Final Verdict

If you want to start your exciting journey at a relaxed pace,

try spending your first night here to ease into your trip.
