Lately, I've been focusing my blog posts on fantastic eateries!

These days, if you're looking for a large cafe to visit on a weekend drive to Gijang, a single drink typically costs around ~$6-7.

And Gijang, in particular, is even more so!

If the view is stunning, the coffee might be a bit lacking,

and if the bread is delicious, parking is a nightmare, requiring a fierce battle for spots...

But I've recently discovered Make Sea Gijang Main Branch, an incredible large cafe with an expansive ocean view that boasts an unbelievable value: an Americano for just ~$1!

And what's more, Make Sea is also famous for its chewy bagels! I'll break down everything for you, from parking to an honest review!

This is what you could call the main entrance of Make Sea Gijang Main Branch!

It's an incredibly popular spot as a large-scale cafe.

The view inside is even better than what you see from the outside. With floor-to-ceiling windows from the 1st to the 3rd floor,

the Gijang ocean stretches before you no matter where you sit.

For those visiting for the first time, do you often worry about large cafes?

Well, at Make Sea Gijang Main Branch, parking stress is minimal. There's a spacious main entrance parking lot right in front of the cafe, and if it's full, you can use the back entrance parking lot.

Even the back entrance parking lot was packed with cars!

There are so many cars in front of it,

you could probably park nearby too!

If you came via the back entrance parking lot,

take the stairs on the right up to the 1st floor.

It was incredibly crowded, and from here, you can enjoy both the parking lot view and the ocean view at once, haha!

I went up one more floor to place my order.

Upon reaching the 2nd floor, you'll find the counter and an outdoor terrace.

The first thing you MUST do when you arrive here is secure a spot! You need to find a seat first before ordering.

Because there have been instances where people ordered but couldn't find a seat. It gets so incredibly crowded that there are no seats left, gasp!

The freshly baked bagels here are truly the cafe's cheat code. They seem to have a great variety too. Just imagine how popular they are...

It wasn't even 3 PM yet, and they were already completely sold out!

So I asked if more bagels would be coming out later in the afternoon,

but it seemed like all of today's batch had already been sold out...

So I couldn't try one and ended up just having a drink before leaving ㅜㅜ

It's possible they sold out even faster because it was a weekend, though...

(It's understandable... there were so many customers, and the staff seemed completely overwhelmed. It looked like a challenging situation to knead and bake another batch...)

On cool, pleasant days like these, I absolutely recommend snagging a spot on the outdoor terrace. Listening to the sound of the waves while enjoying the refreshing breeze is pure bliss, a true healing experience.

It's truly perfect for a romantic date.

From cozy two-person seats perfect for couples to sit side-by-side and gaze at the ocean,

to spacious tables ideal for families or friends to gather and chat,

each floor is thoughtfully designed.

Looking at the photos of the cafe, it might seem like there aren't many people, but...

I took these pictures when it became truly quiet,

after the bagels were sold out and other customers had left.

It was tough to take photos because people were moving around a lot.

Still, I was able to get some shots when it quieted down later.

Just like the 1st floor photos, the 3rd floor was also bustling with people.

A massive cafe... with an annex too?

Even though it's already a spacious cafe, I heard they're expanding with construction next door.

In an era when people talk about a "cafe recession," it made me think, "How well must this place be doing and how popular is it to expand even further at this scale?" My trust in this place absolutely soared! I'm already looking forward to how much more pleasant and wonderful the space will be once the construction is finished.

The prices here are more affordable than other large cafes and independent cafes!

Honestly, cafes located this far out usually tend to be pricey,

but this place offers incredible value! An Americano for ~$1 simply says it all.

Even though the Americano is affordably priced, it's not made with low-quality beans that just taste burnt. It's nutty and clean, a universally appealing flavor that anyone would love.

In any other Gijang cafe, a drink of this quality would easily cost at least ~$6, but here it's almost half the price! With sweet strawberry pulp at the bottom, the sweetness blends perfectly, making it incredibly delicious. It was a bit hot that day, so I just guzzled it down... and since it wasn't an artificial syrup taste, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It wasn't the coarse milk foam typical of large cafes, but a wonderfully smooth latte with perfectly steamed milk. The nutty beans and milk were an excellent combination.

If there's one minor downside? During peak weekend hours (2 PM - 4 PM), it's so popular that the most sought-after bagel varieties sell out quickly. If you want to try a wide selection of bagels, I recommend visiting a bit earlier in the morning or right after lunchtime!

It feels like it's been a long time since I've found a large cafe in Gijang that perfectly hits all three notes: amazing views, delicious food, and great prices.
