My Review of The Parisian Macao
As the weather started getting colder, I found myself longing to escape to a warm country.
As a busy professional, a long journey wasn't really an option for me.
Instead, I opted for a hotel getaway to Macao, where you can soak in a European ambiance in just 4 hours!
What's even better, while a 5-star hotel in Korea in the ~$70 range is just a dream,
it was absolutely possible in Macao!
If you're dreaming of a warm winter escape and a fantastic hotel vacation,

1. The Perfect Season to Visit Right Now
MACAO

Unlike chilly Korea, Macao offers warmth, luxurious hotel stays, and plenty of sightseeing opportunities.
That's why I thought it was the perfect winter travel destination and decided to go!
On average, Macao enjoys relatively mild weather from November to April.
When I visited on November 1st, the local weather averaged a warm 22.6°C, similar to Seoul's June temperatures.
The temperature was perfect for wearing short-sleeved shirts, shorts, and a light cardigan,
making my trip comfortable, warm, and easy to move around in!

The Parisian Macao hotel is a popular spot for many tourists because you can see the Eiffel Tower right before your eyes and feel that European vibe from the observation deck.
It's conveniently located just about a 6-minute drive from the airport, or about 30 minutes by city bus, so it was easy to get there quickly.
Q. Do they operate a shuttle bus? |
A. Yes, they operate a shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel every 10-15 minutes. This meant I didn't need to take a taxi or city bus, making it a comfortable and free ride. The boarding platform was at the bus stop about a 1-minute walk right outside the airport, where the hotel name was written. The journey took about 6-7 minutes. For more detailed shuttle bus schedules and frequencies, please check the hotel's official website. |
Q. What are the check-in and check-out times? |
A. Check-in is at 3 PM and check-out is at 11 AM, similar to other hotels. |
3. What Facilities and Amenities Are Available?

Q. Are there facilities for children? |
A. Yes, there's a kids' club and playroom, making it a great place to visit with children. There are also swimming pools and an Aqua World, so you can spend time both outdoors and indoors. The Parisian's kids' café, 'Cube Kingdom,' operates from 11 AM to 7 PM. It featured various claw machines, slides, arcade games, and even a dress-up area where kids could play as princesses. When I visited on November 1st, I just went to take a look, and I saw children excitedly bouncing around and having a blast. |

Q. What are the swimming pool and Aqua World like? |
A. The Aqua World and swimming pools are designed with varying depths suitable for children, so I saw kids splashing around hand-in-hand with their moms. The pools also feature water slides, a heated pool, and jacuzzis, attracting many families with children. At the outdoor pool, I also saw couples and friends capturing stunning photos with the Eiffel Tower as their backdrop. |

Right next to the pools, there's a dedicated shower room, so there was no need to shiver all the way back to the guest room.
Inside the shower room, there were multiple toilets and spacious, clean washbasins.
The shower area itself was also very large, so even with several people showering, it felt quite comfortable and not crowded.
*The shower room is fully equipped with shampoo, body wash, hair dryers,
cotton swabs, and cotton pads, so you don't need to bring your own toiletries.
There were also lockers available to store valuables and personal belongings, which gave me peace of mind.
What are the differences between the hotel room types?
The Parisian's guest rooms are categorized into Deluxe, Deluxe Eiffel Tower View,
Family Room, and Champagne Suite.
The room sizes increase in this order: Deluxe < Eiffel Tower View < Family Room < Suite.
Deluxe and Eiffel Tower View rooms are 33m²,
Family Rooms are 47m², and Suites are 72m²,
Overall, the rooms are spacious, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay.
Q. Can I see the Eiffel Tower view from all rooms? |
A. No. Not all rooms offer an Eiffel Tower view. If you want an Eiffel Tower view, you must specifically book a room type that includes 'Eiffel Tower View' in its name to get the desired vista. I booked a Deluxe Double Room, so I couldn't see the Eiffel Tower from inside my room, but I could see the Eiffel Tower majestically situated alongside a vast park from the 6th-floor observation deck. Since each room has a different view, please check the detailed room types on the hotel's official website. |

The room I chose was the Deluxe Double Room,
which featured two beds, and towards the window...
There was a table, two chairs, and a vanity.

As you can see in the photos, unlike Hong Kong,
the room was spacious enough to lay out two suitcases,
which was great because we didn't have to feel cramped.

The bathroom was also as spacious as an entire room, so two people
could comfortably go in and wash up.
Bottled water, toilet paper, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner
disposable amenities were provided.
After staying in only small places in Hong Kong,
coming to such a sprawling hotel made it easy to move around,
and the bed mattress and bedding were so plush,
allowing us to fully relax and shake off our travel fatigue.

There were also many restaurants inside the hotel,
and takeout was available, so we could chat in the room
and enjoy drinks with beer – it was pure healing!
I couldn't believe we could enjoy such a wonderful 5-star hotel-cation
for just ~$74.

Above all, one of the things I still think about from my stay at The Parisian Hotel
is its European-style lobby and nighttime views.
The lobby with its red background reminiscent of the Palace of Versailles
and paintings captured my attention,
and there was even a fountain on the first floor that perfectly replicated the Trevi Fountain,
where my friend and I took many photos.

True to its name, The Parisian, from the 6th-floor observation deck,
we could take incredible 'life shots' with the stunning Eiffel Tower as a backdrop.

And we got to enjoy the night views, marveling at the building's exterior that brings constantly changing European scenery
right to Macau.
Where's the best place to book for value?
I compared Agoda, Trip.com, and Hotels.com,
and I ended up booking through Agoda, where I found the lowest price.
Agoda | Trip.com | Hotels.com |
~$93 | ~$128 | ~$122 |
I compared other dates too, and when compared to other sites,
the difference ranged from about ~$30 to about ~$37.
It's a very popular place due to its excellent value,
so if you're planning to go, I recommend booking on Agoda before it sells out!
Nearby Attractions to Explore

The Parisian is conveniently located near Macau's famous attractions like
Senado Square, Jerky Street, and the Ruins of St. Paul's,
making it great for exploring on foot.

Inside, it's all connected to other accommodations,
so you can access the amenities, shopping, and dining of Galaxy and Venetian Hotels
without even stepping outside, offering incredible value!
4. Overall Review

If you're looking to escape to a warm-weather country this winter
for a fantastic hotel-cation that offers amazing value,
then I highly recommend checking out The Parisian Hotel.
With nothing lacking in its pool, amenities, or room condition,
