Highly Recommended District 1 Ho Chi Minh Hotel! M City Hotel Saigon Review
With its fantastic location making sightseeing a breeze
and super clean rooms that exceeded expectations,
here is my honest review of M City Hotel Saigon.
M City Hotel Saigon is perfectly nestled in District 1,
putting you just a 5-minute walk away from Ben Thanh Market.
Plus, major spots like the Saigon Centre shopping mall and the Independence Palace are only about 10 minutes away,
making it the ultimate base camp for exploring the city!

The entrance of M City Hotel Saigon in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City
Here is the sleek and modern entrance of M City Hotel Saigon in District 1.
If you have heavy luggage, the stairs might look a bit daunting,
but the staff will rush right down to carry them up for you in a heartbeat.

M City Hotel Saigon Lobby
The clean and welcoming lobby of M City Hotel Saigon.
Please note there is a security deposit of 1 million VND (~$40) upon check-in.
You can pay by card, and the hold will be released when you check out.

Welcome Drink
Nothing beats a refreshing, ice-cold welcome drink on a hot day.

Before diving into the room review,
here's a quick guide to the hotel's layout:
The lobby is actually located on the G (Ground) floor, not the 1st floor.
The G floor features the front desk and meeting rooms,
while the breakfast restaurant is situated on the 1st floor.
And the swimming pool, fitness center, and spa are all up on the 12th floor!

Here is the swimming pool on the 12th floor.
Since I went up early in the morning to take a look, there were quite a few fallen leaves around.
I'm sure they clean it up as the day goes on!

Fresh towels and life jackets
are nicely prepared on both sides of the pool entrance.

The pool itself isn't massive.
However, since it's on the rooftop, the view of the Ho Chi Minh City skyline is pretty fantastic.

There's even a cute pool bar!
They run a Happy Hour from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a 30% discount.
At the spa, foot massages start from 450,000 VND (~$18),
and a 90-minute body massage is around 850,000 VND (~$34).
Since there are so many amazing massage shops nearby, you probably don't need to get one here.

M City Hotel Saigon Gym in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City
It's a cozy little gym, but
it seems to have all the essentials you need for a quick workout.
Since it was completely empty,
it looked like a great, quiet spot to get some exercise in.

Looking down from the 12th floor, you can see the center of the building is open like this.
M City Hotel Saigon: Deluxe Room Review

M City Hotel Saigon Deluxe Room
The room type I stayed in was the Deluxe Room.
At 22m², the room felt a bit on the smaller side for the price.
Although there was a window, it just looked out at a wall.
Since I was in the heart of the city and didn't care too much about the view,
it didn't bother me at all.
(There are Deluxe Rooms with proper window views, but they are slightly more expensive.)

There's a small table right by the window,
complete with power outlets.

It was super convenient to have outlets on the nightstands on both sides of the bed.

The wardrobe has an open-style design, which helped the compact room
feel a little more spacious.
It was snug, but it had everything you could possibly need.
A safe, a large TV, an electric kettle, a mini-fridge, a hairdryer, and more.

Reusable slippers are provided for your stay.

The complimentary drinks and snacks were free on our arrival day.
However, the fridge performance was a bit disappointing—it didn't get very cold.

Here is the room service menu for M City Hotel Saigon.
The prices are quite reasonable, so it seems worth giving a try!

These are the TV channels available,
and it was a Samsung Smart TV.

The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a sliding door.
Compared to the cozy bedroom, the bathroom felt surprisingly spacious!

The shower booth and the bathtub
were spotlessly clean and well-maintained.

The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in reusable dispensers,
while items like toothbrushes and toothpaste are disposable.
Perhaps because it's a room with a tub,
they even provided bath salts!

The hairdryer actually worked pretty well.

When I asked for some ice,
they brought me a whole ice bucket full of it!
