During my recent 3-night, 5-day getaway to Bohol, Philippines,
I spent 2 nights at a brand-new resort, Luxu Hotel—
booked entirely with my own money!
If you're trying to figure out where to stay in Bohol,
I highly recommend this spot if you want:

☑️ Sparkling clean rooms (built brand new in 2025!)
☑️ Free pick-up and drop-off services
I chose this over the famous Henann Resort,
and honestly, I was so much happier with this decision!
Why I Chose Luxu Hotel Bohol
After spending our first 2 nights at a budget-friendly dive shop,
I wanted to splurge a bit and stay in a really nice place for the remaining 2 nights.
My husband really wanted to go to Henann,
but I was absolutely determined to avoid the packed crowds of the Henann properties! 🙋♀️
☑️ If you dislike crowded, touristy spaces
☑️ If you want both great value and modern cleanliness
☑️ If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing retreat
That's how we decided on
Bohol's hottest new property, Luxu Hotel!
My only concern before booking
Luxu Hotel was...
Its distance from Alona Beach.
But since Luxu Hotel offers free shuttle pick-up and drop-off services,
I booked it without hesitation.
Even the airport drop-off after checkout is completely free!
You can easily request shuttle rides
in advance from the front desk staff!
Location of Luxu Hotel, Bohol's Brand-New Resort

🚗 15 minutes from Dumaluan Beach
🚶 1-minute walk to Namoo Cafe
🚶 1-minute walk to KORI Spa
🚶 5-minute walk to Barwoo Restaurant
🚶 4-minute walk to Munimuni
There's actually a spa on the 2nd floor of the hotel,
and since the prices were the same as KORI Spa,
we just got our massages right at the hotel!
We also grabbed lunch at Namoo Cafe
and headed to Barwoo for dinner.

After spending our first two nights in a $40 budget room,
walking into Luxu Hotel felt like absolute heaven.

They accept both cash
and credit cards for the deposit.
We chose to pay by card,
and when we checked out, we asked about it
and they confirmed it would be cancelled automatically!
(My English was a bit rusty...
but I did my absolute best to ask!)

They even welcomed us with a refreshing welcome drink!
1st floor lobby
On the 1st floor, you'll find the swimming pool and the breakfast restaurant.
I actually didn't have high expectations for the breakfast,
but I was pleasantly surprised and quite satisfied!
The 2nd floor has the Lu Spa massage shop and a gym!
The hotel goes up to the 6th floor,
with guest rooms starting from the 3rd floor!
We were assigned to room 315.
KING DELUXE ROOM CONDITION
We booked the King Deluxe Room
for a 2-night stay!
There are lots of "0.5-night" (half-day) packages available,
but checking out at 11 AM and moving around seemed way too tiring,
so we just decided to book the full 2 nights.
Coming here after staying at a diving shop,
I was absolutely thrilled by how fresh and comfortable it was! 😍
Having power outlets on both sides of the bed
was incredibly convenient.

Everything is supported,
so you don't even need a travel adapter!
This brand-new Bohol hotel
is seriously the best, right?! 👍🏼
The room came with a bathtub,
but we didn't actually use it.
Well, actually, we used it as a drying rack for our laundry
haha!
There's also a cozy sofa and a table,
along with a vanity mirror and a TV.
Two complimentary bottles of water, an electric kettle, and a hair dryer are provided.
There are coffee cups and drinking glasses,
and though there are drinks in the mini-fridge,
they all cost extra, so we skipped them!
The AC works like a charm,
and the floor has a nice wooden texture.
It's the perfect room layout for anyone who loves taking off their shoes and relaxing on clean floors.
The bathroom is sparkling clean,
and the shower booth is super spacious!
They've got all the basic disposable amenities covered,
including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap.
With just one Daiso shower filter
used throughout our 5-day, 3-night trip to Bohol,
doesn't it look surprisingly clean?!
If you're staying at the Luksus Hotel Bohol,
you probably don't even need to pack a shower filter!
The hotel Wi-Fi is super fast,
the AC is ice-cold,
absolutely perfect! 👍
There is always a security guard
stationed at the hotel entrance!
We used the free Luksus shuttle van to get to Alona Beach.
When we mentioned we wanted to head over to Dumaluan Beach,
they suggested taking the Luksus van to Alona Beach
and catching a tricycle (tuk-tuk) from there.
They kindly dropped us off right by the Alona Beach McDonald's.
A great way to save on tricycle fares! 👍🏼
Spending 2 nights at this brand-new Bohol hotel
Day 1 at Luksus Hotel Bohol
On our first day, after transferring from the dive shop,
we got plenty of rest at the hotel
before heading out to catch the sunset at Alona Beach!

Free transfer using the Luksus shuttle van
🍹 Had a cocktail on the beach,
🦑 headed to Gerry's Grill,
☕️ grabbed a cup of coffee,
and walked back to the hotel to digest all the delicious food!
Day 2 at Luksus Hotel Bohol
After having breakfast,
we went on the Napaling reef tour,
and then spent some chill time at the hotel pool.
If you hand over this card,
they'll rent you one pool towel per person!
After returning from the Napaling tour,
we jumped straight into the pool
while still wearing our rash guards.
The pool looked a bit short at first glance,
but it felt like it was easily 25 meters long!
It had been a while since I swam laps,
but the pool was actually pretty spacious.
Highly recommended for real swimming enthusiasts!
There's barely anyone else around, so you can swim to your heart's content.
After swimming, showering, and relaxing,
we walked over to Namoo Cafe,
which is just a 1-minute walk from Luksus Hotel,
to enjoy a quick midday beer.
Then we headed back to our room for a nice 2-hour nap.
We hopped on the Luksus shuttle van, got off at Alona Beach,
immediately transferred to a tricycle,
and headed over to explore Dumaluan Beach!
Dumaluan Beach was so peaceful!
There were only about two groups of Koreans including us,
and everyone else was a foreign tourist.
After visiting Alturas Mall,
we took a tricycle and got off at Barwoo.
We had some delicious mango chicken
and walked just 5 minutes back to our hotel!
We rested up comfortably at Luksus Hotel Bohol,
and requested our airport drop-off for 11:00 PM!
(I requested this at the front desk in advance)

We offer a free pick-up and drop-off shuttle service to Alona Beach and the airport. You can use it by requesting it in advance from the lobby staff.
The deposit upon check-in is 3,000 pesos. Both cash and credit cards are accepted. If you use a credit card, the charge will be automatically canceled upon check-out.
The rooms are equipped with universal outlets compatible with 220V, 110V, Type C, and USB ports. Therefore, you do not need to bring a separate travel adapter.
The swimming pool is quite long, at about 25 meters, making it great for swimming. You can borrow one towel per person by presenting your designated towel card to the staff.
Namu Cafe and KORI Spa are just a 1-minute walk away. The restaurant Barwoo is a 5-minute walk, and Muni Muni is a 4-minute walk, making them very convenient to visit on foot.
