Little Tai Hang Hong Kong Review 2026: Extended Stay Serviced Apartments

Dreaming of living in Hong Kong for a month?

Accommodation in Hong Kong can be quite steep, right?

That's why a long-term hotel stay can feel like a financial stretch.​

And budget hotels often skimp on amenities.

That's where serviced apartments come into play!

1. What Exactly are Hong Kong Serviced Apartments?

A Hong Kong serviced apartment is exactly what it sounds like: an apartment with services!

That means they offer services like housekeeping, just like a hotel!

Most serviced apartments in Hong Kong also double as hotels for shorter stays.

So, you can expect top-notch facilities and services, just like a hotel.

But since they're apartments, they offer cooking facilities—something you won't often find in a typical hotel room.

And, of course, they come fully furnished with all the essential appliances and furniture.

You'll find everything you need to whip up a meal, from dishes and induction cooktops to frying pans.

First, let me take you on a video room tour!​

What's provided can vary from one property to another,

but today I'll introduce you to Little Tai Hang, where I experienced my month-long stay in Hong Kong!

2. Little Tai Hang: Your Hong Kong Month-Long Staycation Location

Little Tai Hang serviced apartments are nestled in Tai Hang, on Hong Kong Island.

Tai Hang is often referred to as Hong Kong's Seongsu-dong (think a trendy, creative hub) –

it's a fantastic place to live with tons of hip cafes and delicious eateries.

It’s not as bustling as Central or Tsim Sha Tsui,

but it was a wonderfully relaxed and comfortable neighborhood to call home.

Plus, the very next neighborhood is Causeway Bay, which has a similar vibe to Seoul's Myeongdong –

it’s actually my favorite neighborhood in Hong Kong, but the housing prices there can be quite high.

So, if you want to frequent Causeway Bay but prefer living somewhere a bit less chaotic,

Tai Hang is absolutely perfect for you!

You'll find everything you need nearby: cafes, supermarkets, laundromats, pharmacies, and bakeries.

Victoria Park, a library, and a tram stop are all within walking distance, making the local infrastructure incredibly convenient.

3. A Harbor View That Changes Charms Day and Night & The Gym!

First off, the view here is absolutely incredible.

You get a picture-perfect harbor view.

The floor-to-ceiling windows made it truly exceptional.

Plenty of sunshine streams in, and the night view from the window is simply stunning.

I never once grew tired of it during my entire month in Hong Kong.

It was pure bliss every time I came home in the evening.

You can even catch the Symphony of Lights!

While you can't hear the music, you can see the laser beams dancing across the sky.

During the day, the lush green sports facilities also catch your eye,

which was fantastic motivation to get active!

Thanks to this, I ended up exercising more diligently than ever during my month-long Hong Kong adventure.

On a side note, the gym is also very well-equipped.

And guess what? There's a water dispenser in the gym!

It was super convenient for refilling my water bottle when I ran low.

So, whenever I got thirsty, I'd unintentionally find myself heading to the gym more often, which naturally led to getting more workouts in!

4. Fantastic Water Pressure & Adorable Amenities!

When you first check in, they greet you with a lovely welcome kit.

The photo on the left shows the welcome kit you receive upon checking in!

And the wine on the right? That's what you get if you order a meal kit!

Just so you know, that can is water.

Other items like coffee or tea are provided once for free, and then available for additional orders.

Most daily essentials can be found at the lobby!

Plus, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner are all provided in wall-mounted dispensers.

It really feels just like a hotel!

And the hairdryer? It's not flimsy at all! It's powerful and even has a great cool shot function!

5. Spacious Rooms & Everything You Need to Cook

You know how Hong Kong hotels tend to be on the smaller side, right?

The biggest difference here is how incredibly spacious it felt compared to any other hotel.

The interior was clean and cozy.

I especially loved the abundance of storage space.

They truly maximized the space incredibly well!

There was a full-length mirror inside the closet.

Both the kitchen and bedroom areas had plenty of space to store luggage.

And the key to a 'month-long stay' in Hong Kong is whether you can actually live there like a local, isn't it?

Cleaning was included as part of the room service, which was incredibly convenient.

The kitchen had an induction cooktop, microwave, basic cooking utensils, and dishes – everything you need!

Besides clothes, I really didn't need to pack anything extra from Korea.

And when you're feeling too lazy to go grocery shopping, there's a fantastic service you can use!

It's through the apartment's affiliated restaurant.

You can get discounts, and you can even order meal kits!

I tried the meal kits twice myself!

All the necessary ingredients and even the cooking instructions are included.

Even someone like me, who isn't great at cooking, can make such high-quality dishes!

Since there's even a kitchen hood, you don't have to worry about cooking smells either.

Good to know: the TV supports casting!

So, I made great use of phone mirroring for Netflix and other services.

It also supports Apple TV, but since I use a Galaxy phone, I couldn't test it out myself.

6. Free Laundry & Lounge Access

Washing machines and dryers are available for free in the laundry room.

You just need to bring your own detergent.

This is actually a huge perk!

Even the cheapest local laundromats charge at least HKD 50 for under 7kg, you know?

Plus, Hong Kong is humid, so you're bound to accumulate a lot of laundry.

That amount of laundry usually adds up every 3-4 days.

If you think about using paid laundry every three days for a month?

For a month-long stay in Hong Kong, laundry costs alone would be HKD 500, which is almost ~$73!

So, it's definitely beneficial to choose a place with free laundry.

Professional dry cleaning is also available for a fee.

But since the washing machines are so good, I always did it myself!

And isn't it annoying to go back and forth to your room if you miss the right laundry timing?

There's a lounge right next to the laundry room.

It's a great place to wait.

It's decorated just like a living room, so I went there often too.

Are there any of you who love studying at cafes?

You can study & read really well here too.

It was one of my most favorite spots!

Besides this lounge, there's also a lounge next to the gym.

There, you can enjoy free coffee & snacks!

7. Reasonable Monthly Rent for Hong Kong's Cost of Living

The monthly price varies depending on the room type.

Each room type has a slightly different monthly rent.

The cheapest room starts from HKD 35,500.

There are rooms suitable for 1-2 people, like the one I stayed in.

And there are even rooms where entire families can stay.

That's about ~$4,891.

Yes, it is expensive.

However, considering the laundry costs & surrounding infrastructure, views, and facilities, it was quite good value for money.

Hong Kong hotels cost in the late ~$200s per night.

But if you stay in a hotel, additional laundry and dining out expenses add up.

In Hong Kong, you can save a lot on dining out by buying groceries and cooking yourself!

Of course, there are budget-friendly places available for around ~$73, but

if you're planning a month-long stay, I don't recommend budget hotels.

Even if you're not planning a full month in Hong Kong,

what if you're staying for a week or longer?

In that case, I still recommend Little Tai Hang.

They often have a 'stay 2 nights, get 1 free' promotion.

Then it becomes even better value for money.

It's worth doing the math and deciding!

For your reference, this place isn't listed on third-party sites like Hotels.com!

You can book directly on their website!

When you do a month-long stay in Hong Kong, there's some basic paperwork, just like a monthly rental agreement.

A one-month security deposit & an inventory checklist are the most important things.

If any existing items are lost after a month, the cost will be deducted from your deposit!

So, make sure to check this inventory checklist carefully when you first move in!

I personally didn't have any issues :)

8. Little Tai Hang: A Place I'd Love to Revisit

I absolutely loved Little Tai Hang; it felt more like a home than a hotel, and more soulful than a typical home.

From the views, neighborhood atmosphere, and living infrastructure, to the accommodation management –

I stayed comfortably for the entire month and grew fond of the place.

If I ever do a month-long stay in Hong Kong again, I think I'd come back here.
