Little National Hotel Sydney Review 2026: Wynyard Station & CBD Stay
Discover the Little National Hotel Sydney, your ideal 2026 stay connected to Wynyard Station. Experience unmatched safety, cleanliness, and prime access to Sydney's CBD attractions, dining, and shopping.

When you're searching for accommodation in Sydney,
and you can't compromise on
location, safety, or cleanliness –
not even one of them?
Then I highly recommend THIS hotel!
During my week-long trip to Sydney,
I stayed at two places:
the Chinatown Hotel and
the Sydney Little National Hotel.
It's conveniently located near the QVB (Queen Victoria Building) and Sydney Observatory,
but I was truly satisfied with everything:
its proximity to great restaurants and shopping,
safety,
and the overall cleanliness of the rooms!
I'll introduce the Little National Hotel first,
and then share two fantastic restaurants I loved nearby!

Little National Hotel Sydney
Check-in / Check-out | 15:00 / 11:00 |
Rating (Number of Reviews) | 9.2 (5,331 reviews) |
The Little National Hotel Sydney is amazing because
it's directly connected to Wynyard Station,
meaning you can reach the hotel in just a 1-minute walk.
Wynyard Station is where the airport train stops,
making it the absolute best place to stay
as soon as you arrive in Sydney
or right before you head out.
I'll list the best prices, discount coupons, and more below!
Little National Hotel Address:
26 Clarence St, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia

After getting off at Wynyard Station
and heading outside,
you'll spot a small, very neat hotel sign!
However, Wynyard Station is quite large and complex,
so finding your way out might be a little tricky.
Just look for the exit heading towards Clarence St,
and you'll be all set!

Once you go inside,
you'll find a small reception area.
This isn't the main front desk, though –
you'll need to take the elevator up to the actual front desk!

The lounge area is also uncluttered
and meticulously arranged.
I spoke with a staff member to drop off my luggage and inquire about early check-in,
but if you're doing a regular check-in,
you can also do it at the self-service kiosk!
Little National Hotel Sydney
Is early check-in possible?
I dropped off my luggage around 11 AM,
hoping for an early check-in if possible.
Luckily, I was able to check in right away,
so I went straight to my room, dropped off my bags,
rested a bit, and then headed out!
Flights arriving from Korea often land quite early,
leaving you feeling really tired,
The Little National Hotel Sydney is pretty good with early check-ins,
so I highly recommend you come to drop off your luggage and
always ask if an early check-in is possible!

The Little National Hotel Sydney
Rooms

The Little National Hotel Sydney is a newly built hotel,
completed in 2020.
Perhaps that's why
it features incredibly clean and trendy
interior design.

A unique feature of The Little National Hotel Sydney
is that
all rooms share the same layout
and only have double beds!
So, I thought it was a more suitable accommodation
for a trip with a partner, or even a solo trip,
rather than a trip with friends!

The bed, in particular, is perfectly sized
for the room, so if two people are sharing,
it might be a bit inconvenient
to move around.
However, the bed itself is really large –
easily big enough for three adults to sleep comfortably!
Even with my friend,
I didn't experience any discomfort at all!

And the room was
actually more spacious than I expected!
It was still very roomy,
even with two suitcases (a 28-inch and a 24-inch)
open at the same time!

There's one double bed
and a TV, and you can instantly watch
various OTT services and YouTube.

Right next to the bed,
there's a small table,
along with a wardrobe and a storage cabinet containing teacups and other items.

On the bed, you'll find
teabags from T2, Australia's leading tea brand,
and two Lindt chocolates as amenities.
What a thoughtful touch!

As soon as you step into the room,
you'll find two large full-length mirrors on the left,
and the bathroom on the right.
Although it features a sliding door,
the soundproofing was surprisingly decent.

The bathroom is thoughtfully designed within a single space,
with the shower, washbasin, and toilet distinctly separated.
What I truly loved was the presence of
a large towel rack where you can hang towels!
It really impressed me.

When you stay for multiple nights,
drying towels can sometimes be a bit tricky.
But with such a spacious towel rack,
after using a bath towel,
I could simply hang it to dry,
which meant no need to request a fresh one, and it was super convenient!
The extra toilet paper and
even facial tissues
were a thoughtful touch that added to the comfort.
Just a heads-up: amenities like toothbrushes and toothpaste
aren't provided, so remember to pack your own!
The Little National Hotel
Lounge and Facilities

On the 11th floor of the Little National Hotel Sydney,
you'll discover a fabulous rooftop lounge!

I only had a quick look after checking in,
but they offer complimentary coffee, so
you absolutely must go up there, soak in the Sydney city views,
and enjoy a cup of coffee!

While enjoying coffee or a beer in the lounge,
I saw people working on their laptops.
It gave me the feeling of being a local Australian,
working remotely,
and I absolutely loved it! Haha!

There's also a 24-hour gym
that you can use for free.
If you dream of working out like a local in Australia,
I highly recommend the Little National Hotel Sydney with its fantastic free gym!
Plus, right in front of the hotel, inside Wynyard Station,
you'll find Coles and Woolworths supermarkets.
This makes it incredibly convenient for grabbing water or doing a quick grocery run.
The location is just perfect!
Little National Hotel Sydney
Nearby Must-Visit Spots
First off, from the Little National Hotel Sydney,
the Sydney Observatory is incredibly close!

The Sydney Observatory is a popular spot, isn't it,
especially for catching breathtaking sunsets
and enjoying picnics?
While it might be a tad far for a pure walk,
even after a picnic and returning in the dark,
it wasn't too far, making it feel perfectly manageable.
And guess what? The iconic Opera House and Circular Quay aren't far either!
For those planning early morning trips to Featherdale Wildlife Park or Stargazing Tours,
the location makes transportation a breeze.

And right near the Little National Hotel,
you'll find the much-loved
Bar Totti's, just a stone's throw away!
It's only a 5-minute walk, so
it's perfect for visiting around 3-4 PM, when you might even snag a table as a walk-in.

Right next door, I'd also recommend MuMu, a fantastic fusion Asian restaurant!
It's a really hot spot among young Australians these days,
but it seems to cater more to locals than tourists... for now!
On the day I returned to Korea,
I had an early morning flight,
so I was a little concerned about getting to the airport.
However, it's just a 1-minute walk to Wynyard Station,
and you can catch the airport train directly from there,
making the journey to the airport incredibly smooth and convenient!

This hotel is perfect for you if:
✔️ You're traveling solo in Sydney and prioritize safe and secure accommodation.
✔️ If you prefer a quiet, beautiful, and trendy new hotel over one in the middle of a bustling city center
✔️ If you frequently use public transportation, especially from One Yard Station
✔️ If you're looking for a hotel that's generous with free early check-in
So, this has been my honest review of
The Little National Hotel Sydney, where I stayed alone for 3 nights in Sydney.
I truly hope this helps anyone out there with similar travel plans or considerations!
