Hey there, travel enthusiasts! It's Toffee, your go-to explorer always on the move.ᐟ
With the weather getting warmer lately, I've been craving something cool and sweet.
So today, I'm excited to share my experience at 'Latoreyo', a spot I visited during my Sokcho trip that's often called a must-visit.

Latoreyo, located near Sokcho's Yeongrangho Lake, greets you with its charming exterior the moment you arrive.
It has that perfect aesthetic for snapping an Instagram-worthy photo.
I'd often seen this place while traveling around Sokcho, and I finally got to visit!

Given that gelato is a dessert typically enjoyed quickly, leading to a high turnover,
the interior of the shop is relatively small.
It doesn't seem designed to accommodate many people, and there are no tables, just the blue chairs you saw in the exterior photos.

Perhaps that's why most people opt for takeout!
After ordering our gelato at the kiosk, I looked around the shop and noticed the owner's delightful sense of style reflected in the cute decorations.

Every poster and interior detail seems to embody Latoreyo's philosophy of capturing 'the taste of Gangwon-do.'

Finally, our family's gelato order arrived!
The presentation was absolutely adorable and charming, haha.
When you choose two flavors, they thoughtfully add a small scoop of a third, different flavor on top of the spoon, allowing you to sample it.
That little detail was so cute and a touching gesture..💕

This is Latoreyo's signature 'Potato Gelato,' a popular choice featuring a potato gelato + black pepper combination.
At first, I was quite surprised, and frankly amused, by the pepper sprinkled on top, haha.
But the subtle kick from the black peppercorns really balanced the sweetness, making it a surprisingly delicious treat!

If you visit Latoreyo in Sokcho,
you absolutely must try their signature Potato Gelato!

Since there were many of us in the family,
it was great to sample a bit of everything: chocolate lemon, blueberry pistachio, and even mugwort.
Every flavor tasted authentic, with a unique sweetness that left a lasting impression.
Even if you're not a huge fan of overly sweet desserts,
you'll find these enjoyable without feeling overwhelmed.

After a meal and a stroll along the beach, when my energy was starting to dip,
visiting this Sokcho gelato spot was the absolute best decision!
Enjoying a cup of chewy gelato while feeling the cool sea breeze? That sounds like the perfect healing trip to me.
I highly recommend adding a scoop of Latoreyo to your Sokcho travel itinerary!☺️

Lato Rayo's signature menu is 'Potato Gelato,' which is potato gelato topped with black pepper. The pungent kick of whole black pepper neatly balances the potato gelato's flavor, making it a surprisingly unique delicacy.
Lato Rayo's store is relatively small with no tables, making it difficult to accommodate many people. Blue chairs are available, and most customers typically opt for takeout.
Yes, at Lato Rayo, if you choose two flavors, a small scoop of a different flavor is placed on your spoon. This allows you to experience an additional flavor beyond the ones you ordered.
