If you're short on time but eager to explore, make sure to visit Hodoo General Store. It stands out for its wide variety of practical and utterly adorable souvenirs.
Compared to other stores, the selection here is massive, a veritable paradise of beautiful items! I almost emptied my wallet trying to resist everything!

The operating hours and location for Hodoo General Store are listed above. Please note that there's no dedicated parking at the store itself, as it's nestled in an alley. Your best bet is to park at Sokcho Beach public parking lot and enjoy a pleasant walk over.
(It's about a 10-minute walk from the parking lot.)
2. Interior Vibe & Item Variety
Unlike many other shops, Hodoo General Store features a remarkable collection of products directly crafted by the owner. You'll find a diverse range of items, from souvenirs and decorative plates to charming cups, keyrings, and accessories.
As you can see, they also sell adorable and distinctive home decor items, reminiscent of popular interior design trends. It's the perfect spot for couples to pick out thoughtful gifts for each other!
The fabric products, like those pictured above, are all handmade by the owner, which made browsing even more delightful! (You can even catch a glimpse of them creating new pieces sometimes!)
They offer everything from transparent plates, coasters, and utensils to keyrings and accessories. You'll also find a range of fabric products like tissue cases, bath mats, handkerchiefs, and other decorative items.
They even had these adorable keyrings! I loved that some could hold small accessories or coins, making them incredibly practical. I couldn't resist buying one!
Beyond that, you'll find combs, necklaces, rings, calendars, and so much more – it’s a souvenir shop that truly has everything! As you can see in the photos, it’s one of the most popular prop shops in Sokcho, constantly bustling with visitors!
3. My Visit Experience
When you visit the Sokcho Beach area, you'll find about eight prominent souvenir shops. I made sure to stop by all of them, but Hodoo General Store was my absolute favorite!
While each specialty shop had its own unique charm and character, Hodoo General Store offered the most to see and the most practical items. It truly excelled in having a wide array of perfect gifts!

If you're looking to visit a specialty shop in Sokcho but are pressed for time, a trip to Hodoo General Store alone is more than enough! It has almost every souvenir, gift, accessory, and piece of merchandise you could want, making it the perfect spot for browsing and shopping.
So, if you find yourself at Sokcho Beach, make sure to swing by this charming specialty shop. It will undoubtedly add more fun and unique discoveries to your trip!
