While exploring Sokcho, I was on the hunt for a fun indoor activity to beat a rainy or hot day, and guess what? I found the perfect spot!
It was none other than

This indoor theme park offers everything from exciting trick art photo zones to a thrilling physical escape room, making it absolutely perfect for a lively adventure with kids.

Dynamic Maze Sokcho is conveniently located right next to Sokcho Hakpyeong Sundubu Village, making it a fantastic spot to visit after enjoying a delicious tofu breakfast during your trip.
Alive Heart and Dynamic Maze are both in the same building, so you get to enjoy two awesome experiences in one visit!

Even though it was a rainy day and quite crowded, parking wasn't an issue since there's plenty of space wrapped all around the building.
Even if you purchased your tickets online, you'll still need to get them re-issued at the ticketing counter.
My kids had a blast at Dynamic Maze back in Jeju, too!
They really wanted to go again, and it turns out re-entry on the same day is possible at Sokcho Dynamic Maze after paying ~$4! (Honestly, I only found this out while writing this blog post; if I'd known at the time, we definitely would've gone for a second round, haha!)
While waiting to enter, we took some time to read through the various informational notices.
Alive Heart Sokcho: The Trick Art Photo Zone!
Since it was raining on the day we visited, Dynamic Maze was incredibly packed, so we decided to explore Alive Heart first.
The trick art backdrops were so diverse and creatively designed! It was our first time experiencing trick art with the kids, and they absolutely loved it.
If we weren't sure how to pose for a picture, there were example photos right next to the art, which made it super easy to figure out!
Honestly, we initially thought of Alive Heart as just a way to kill time because the Dynamic Maze line was so long,
but we ended up having a genuinely fantastic time!
The kids absolutely loved posing in front of the backgrounds,
and we took tons of photos!
The optical illusions were so cleverly designed, making it feel like you could actually touch and be part of the scenes.
It was a perfect spot to capture some picture-perfect shots with the little ones!
Towards the end of Alive Heart,
there was even a unique glow-in-the-dark section
in a darkened space, which was really special!
And after we left, there was even a LEGO play area, where we spent ages too!!!
After all that fun at Alive Heart,
it was finally time to head over to the Dynamic Maze!
Sokcho Dynamic Maze: Mission-Based Escape Room Adventure!
The Dynamic Maze is open to everyone over 100cm tall!
The Dynamic Maze was a completely different vibe from Alive Heart.
It's an indoor play space with an escape room feel, where you physically tackle missions.
You have to clear the given mission at each stage to advance to the next level.
Running isn't allowed, but with all that dopamine rushing, there was no way the kids were going to stay quiet... LOL!
Alright, let's go!
First up, we had to escape a mirror maze!
That 'thump-thump-thump' sound you hear from outside? That's us!
Four people have to get on the platform,
stomp and jump to earn points.
There are HARD/NORMAL/EASY modes.
You start at the hardest level, and if you can't clear it, you drop down to Normal, then Easy.
While you can eventually pass if you reach the Easy mode,
we were already exhausted from the Hard mode... haha!
We had to navigate past giant balls...
...and brave pressure-point footpaths!
There was even a 'spot the difference' game!
So many diverse challenges, right?
Along the way, we slid down slides and even had hanging missions!
By this point, our heads were spinning from all the excitement!
Woohoo, down the spiral slide and that was the end!!!
I'm usually not great with slides because they can be a bit scary...
But I just wanted to finish, so I zipped down quickly...
As soon as the kids got down, they were already asking if they could do it again!
Hahahaha!
Rushing through the stages with the kids, full of energy,
screaming and laughing, we had so much fun that we completely lost track of time!
The joy of solving missions together through cooperation makes it especially great for families to visit.
We returned to the spot where we first left our shoes,
picked them up, and now it's time for our next adventure!
Overall Thoughts
At Alive Heart, we captured some fantastic memory photos with the trick art,
and at Dynamic Maze, we physically pushed through
and played with wild abandon.
Being able to enjoy such totally different kinds of fun all in one place
made it a really jam-packed indoor itinerary for our Sokcho trip.
Especially if you're looking for a place to have fun with kids on a rainy or hot day,
the combination of Alive Heart and Dynamic Maze was so satisfying, I'd definitely want to visit again!
