🚶🏻♀️ How to Get There Enter Vincom Center Landmark 81 and take the dedicated observatory elevator
How to Get to the Observatory & How to Book
We grabbed a bite to eat in Thao Dien (District 2) first, and then took a Grab taxi over to Vincom Center.
It only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get there.

Since Vincom Center is a shopping mall,
it's a great place to do some shopping right before or after you visit the observatory.
They even have a supermarket inside, so we stopped by to stock up on some fresh fruit!

There's a dedicated ticket counter right in the center of the mall.
All you have to do is show them the voucher you received from booking in advance.
Since I was traveling with my parents, I booked everything online in advance.
Booking early meant we didn't have to worry about tickets selling out, plus we got to take a souvenir photo, which was great!
If you're traveling with parents or older family members like we were, I highly recommend booking in advance.

Once they scan your voucher, they'll hand you this paper ticket/receipt.
Just present this when you enter the observatory.

To get to the observatory, just look for the "Landmark 81 SkyView" sign!

It's located right of the entrance, so it's super easy to find.

There's a dedicated elevator to take you straight up, making the whole process incredibly smooth.
We visited on a weekday afternoon, and it was so peaceful and uncrowded that we could take our time exploring.

We walked down a long hallway to enter.

And this is where the experience officially begins!
They start by taking your photo against a green screen (chroma key style).
Honestly, if it had been just me and my husband, we probably would have skipped it,
but since we were with my parents, they absolutely loved posing and getting a keepsake photo! Haha. 😊

After finishing the quick photo op, we finally boarded the elevator.
First, you'll get off at the 79th floor.
There's a restaurant up on the 80th floor.

And just like that, we arrived at the 79th floor in no time!
Landmark 81 Skyview Observatory

As soon as we stepped out, our parents absolutely loved it.
It's a must-visit spot for any family trip!
The weather was seriously~~~~ amazing.

Thanks to the clear skies, we were already snapping tons of photos before even heading up to the 81st floor.
Since it was a weekday afternoon, it wasn't crowded at all, making it so peaceful and relaxing.
Here's a shot of my mom that I took!

It was so much fun looking out at the view, trying to spot District 1,
and pointing out the Saigon Skydeck over there!

Next, we headed up the stairs to the 81st floor.

Down on the ground level of Landmark, you can see the famous Central Park.

My husband and my mom.
This is my absolute favorite photo of the two of them.

The telescopes are free to use, which is super convenient!

District 7, and District 1 as seen from the 81st floor.

With massive floor-to-ceiling windows all around, every single corner is a perfect photo spot.
Coming here at night is also a fantastic option to catch the gorgeous sunset and city lights.
Here's a quick tip: visit between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM to catch both the sunset and the night views!
Because of our schedule, we visited during the day.

Our tickets actually included a VR game experience, so we decided to give it a try!

It was actually surprisingly fun, haha! 😆
Our parents had a blast with it too.

And after that, you get to choose your photos!
They printed out enough copies for everyone, so we gifted the parents a mix of solo and group shots.

Right in front of that, there's an outdoor skywalk zone. It's not super spacious, but since it has transparent glass floors, they even provide safety harnesses!

The view of Ho Chi Minh City from the outdoor deck~~
The perfect weather definitely made it ten times better.

After enjoying the views outside, our printed photos were ready!
And that's how we wrapped up our tour of Ho Chi Minh's Landmark 81 Skyview.
