Discover Kura Sushi Nakasu in Fukuoka! Enjoy fresh, affordable conveyor belt sushi made to order, plus a unique gacha game for prizes. A fun, budget-friendly dining experience.
If you're exploring Fukuoka and looking for a fantastic, budget-friendly meal
without wasting precious travel time,
especially around Hakata or Tenjin stations, then Kura Sushi Nakasu might just be your perfect stop.
We all know that time is gold when you're traveling, right?
For those who want to minimize transit,
and get a mix of fun and incredible value,
Kura Sushi is an excellent choice.

On my last trip to Fukuoka,
I made sure to visit Kura Sushi's Nakasu location,
which boasts fantastic accessibility as a top eatery near Nakasu-Kawabata Station.
It's actually inside the same building as the Don Quijote Nakasu store,
making it an ideal spot to grab a bite
before or after some serious shopping!

As you'd expect from a popular Fukuoka eatery,
there was a bit of a wait, but don't let that deter you.

The restaurant is spacious and their waiting system is incredibly efficient,
so we noticed the line moved quite quickly.
Compared to other conveyor belt sushi spots in Hakata,
the turnover here felt remarkably smooth,
which was a huge relief for my hungry partner and me.
The biggest reason I sought out this place
was for the Bikkura Pon gacha game I'd seen on social media!

Every time you deposit five empty plates
into the return slot at your table, a game starts on your tablet!

Just make sure to select the gacha event option
on the tablet *before* you start eating.

It's not a guaranteed win every time, but if you hit the jackpot in the game,
you'll receive a fun sushi-themed prize from the capsule machine above your table.

Honestly, the specific prize wasn't entirely my style (haha!),
but it was such a blast playing along with friends and family!
It's a small detail, but it adds a memorable, playful touch to your meal.
This interactive element makes Kura Sushi feel less like just a restaurant
and more like an experience, definitely worth checking out on your Fukuoka adventure.
Unlike some traditional conveyor belt sushi spots that have plates circling endlessly,
Kura Sushi operates on an order-made system.
You simply place your order via a tablet,
and your sushi is prepared fresh on the spot and delivered directly to your table!

Because it's made fresh to order,
the sushi doesn't dry out and always tastes great.
The tablet menu is incredibly user-friendly,
with excellent English support,
so ordering is a breeze even for first-time visitors.

Your customized dishes zip along a dedicated express lane right to your seat —
the speed at which they arrive is surprisingly fast and quite entertaining!
Also, a heads-up: the sushi doesn't come with wasabi already added.
You get to add as much or as little as you like, which is perfect for customizing your kick!

Kura Sushi in Fukuoka is a fantastic budget-friendly conveyor belt sushi chain,
with most plates costing around ~$1 each.
They offer a wide variety of menu items, many priced under ~$2,
making it a top contender for affordable and delicious sushi.

What really impressed me personally
was that despite the budget-friendly prices,
they offered thoughtful options!
I've been trying to cut down on carbs,
and here you can choose to have your sushi with half the rice!
This option allowed me to enjoy a wider selection of sushi
without feeling too guilty, which was a huge bonus.

While Kura Sushi Hakata Nakasu might not be a Michelin-starred establishment,
its appeal lies in much more than just the food.
The prices and casual atmosphere are comparable to other conveyor belt sushi chains,
but Kura Sushi truly stands out with its unique gacha game event,
offering entertainment beyond just a meal.
✅ Minimal Transit
✅ Great Value
✅ Playful Fun
If you're looking for a dining experience that perfectly blends efficiency, enjoyment, and affordability
on your Fukuoka trip, this is it!
It slots perfectly into any itinerary, whether you're planning a stroll along the Nakasu River
or a shopping spree at Don Quijote. I highly recommend giving it a try!
Kura Sushi Nakasu is located near Nakasu-Kawabata Station, on the 3rd floor of the Don Quijote Nakasu building. It's a convenient stop before or after shopping at Don Quijote, or after a stroll along the Nakasu River.
To participate in the Bikkurapon Gacha event, you need to check the 'event participation' option on the tablet before starting your meal. Every time you return 5 empty plates to the slot, a game will start on the tablet, and you can win a prize if you're lucky.
Kura Sushi Nakasu uses an order-made system where you place your order via a tablet, and the sushi is freshly prepared and sent to you on a conveyor belt. The tablet supports Korean, and each sushi plate is affordably priced at around 130 yen.
