Kolon Seacloud Hotel

Hello everyone! This is Durimap. 😊
Today, I'm sharing my honest review of the Haeundae Seacloud Hotel, where I stayed during my recent trip to Busan.
When I was booking a place, I only cared about three main things:
✔️ Right in front of Haeundae Beach
✔️ Must have a swimming pool
✔️ Easy and convenient parking
And the place that checked every single box was the Kolon Seacloud Hotel!
After staying there myself, I can say that while it's not the most luxurious or ultra-modern hotel, the location is absolutely unbeatable. Plus, the rooms were much more spacious than I expected, making my stay in Busan incredibly satisfying.

Why I Recommend It |
When choosing accommodation in Busan, I think location is definitely the most important factor.
And Kolon Seacloud is literally right on Haeundae Beach's doorstep.
Step out of the hotel and you’re almost immediately on the sand, which made it so easy to head out for a swim and come back.
What’s even better is that there's a foot-washing station on the 1st floor to rinse off the sand. It was super convenient to clean up quickly before heading back up to our room after playing on the beach. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of it (my bad! 😭), but it's right near the 1st-floor entrance so you won't miss it.
Since we brought our car, we were also really pleased with how easy the parking was. Finding parking in Busan during peak season can be incredibly stressful, so this was a major win for us.
It's also incredibly easy to reach via public transit, being just a 5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Haeundae Station.
While I went with my husband, the rooms are residence-style (complete with basic cooking facilities), making it a great option for family trips with kids or parents.
Best of all, being in the heart of Haeundae meant we had super easy access to not only the beach, but also Gunam-ro, Haeridan-gil, The Bay 101, and Dongbaekseom Island.
The Room |

We stayed in a Deluxe Super Twin Half Ocean View room.
At around 36m², the room felt much more spacious than standard hotel rooms, and having two double beds was absolutely amazing.
Quick heads-up here!!
This single building actually houses three different hotel operators: Kolon Seacloud Hotel, Seacloud Hotel & Residence, and Suncloud!!
Each management company has slightly different room types, though they all share the building's amenities and facilities.
The rooms managed by Kolon Seacloud Hotel were remodeled back in 2023 (although I'm not 100% sure if every single room was done...).
Just to clarify, my review is specifically for the Kolon Seacloud Hotel! ^^

There was plenty of room to lay out two suitcases flat without feeling cramped at all, and it seemed spacious enough to comfortably accommodate families.
Also, because our room was listed as a "half ocean view," I didn't set my expectations too high...
But once I looked out the window, I was pleasantly surprised to see a pretty clear, open view of the Haeundae ocean!

Honestly, it made me think, "Isn't this basically a full ocean view?" Though I'm sure a 100% full ocean view would be even better! ^^

They also offer plenty of room types, making it easy to choose whether you're traveling as a couple or with kids!
Options range from No View rooms to Half Ocean Views, Full Ocean Views, Executive Suites (for up to 8 guests), and Royal Suites.
Of course, there were a couple of downsides.
While the hotel itself is well-maintained, you can definitely feel its age in certain areas.
It doesn’t have that ultra-sleek, brand-new vibe, but the sheer size of the rooms and the unbeatable location made it more than worth it for me.
Also, the electronic billboard on the Chosun Hotel right in front is perfectly fine during the day, but it got a bit bright at night.
But we closed the blackout curtains when we went to bed anyway, so it wasn't a major issue.
Pricing |
The prices tend to fluctuate quite a bit depending on when you book and which room type you choose.
They also offer packages that bundle activities like the Busan Aquarium or the Luge, giving you plenty of great options.
When comparing prices for the most basic room, the Deluxe Double (No View) for late July, Agoda had the lowest rates. Trip.com was
in the low ~$200s, a bit expensive, a bit more expensive, but if you have a Trip.com discount coupon or points, it can end up being even cheaper.
Booking Site | Price | Booking Link |
Trip.com | Approx. ~$200 | |
Agoda | Approx. ~$184 |
Prices fluctuate depending on the season and room type, so it's best to compare both.
Swimming Pool |
My absolute favorite spot at Sea Cloud had to be the 4th-floor outdoor swimming pool!
The pool itself was surprisingly spacious. Best of all, looking out at the massive electronic billboard of the Chosun Hotel alongside the gorgeous Haeundae beach scenery gave it that ultimate urban vacation vibe.

The pool is about 25 meters long with a depth of 1.2 meters.
It is open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM in July and August, and from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM in June and September.
Guests can enjoy free access (up to 2 people per room). Any additional guests can use the pool for ~$13 per person.
Taking a dip in the ocean at Haeundae, heading back to the hotel pool for another splash, and wrapping up the day with a cold beer... Now, this is what summer vacation dreams are made of! 🍺
If you're looking for a hotel with a pool in Haeundae, you'll definitely be highly satisfied here.

Breakfast & Facilities |
Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the breakfast during our stay.
Breakfast is served at 'Theus' restaurant on the 4th floor, offering a semi-buffet style with both Korean and Western options.

For facilities, you can make use of the outdoor swimming pool and the fitness center (located on the 19th floor).
I also loved how convenient it was to have a 24-hour convenience store and plenty of other shops right on the 1st floor.

Final Verdict |
If you're expecting the ultra-glamorous, high-end amenities of a brand-new luxury hotel, you might find it a bit dated. However, looking at the perks below, it was a thoroughly satisfying place to stay.
✔️ Right in front of Haeundae Beach
✔️ Spacious rooms
✔️ Outdoor swimming pool
✔️ Easy and convenient parking
✔️ Variety of room types
To be honest, finding a hotel in this prime Haeundae location with a pool at this price during peak season is a total steal.
If I visit again, I would definitely spend a tiny bit extra to book a high-floor room with a full ocean view!
