The Rooftop Pool View is Unforgettable!

The rooftop pool view was even better in person than in the photos! During the day, you get a direct, unobstructed view of the Petronas Twin Towers, along with the KL Tower and the entire city skyline. It was simply amazing to relax with a drink and swim while soaking in those incredible sights!

Breakfast: Best Value Among Kuala Lumpur Hotels

The breakfast is a buffet with a surprisingly wide variety of options. You'll find a good selection of local Malaysian dishes, alongside all the classics like pastries and eggs. For a hotel in this price range, the breakfast quality is truly outstanding – it almost feels like the hotel is going above and beyond!

Starting your day with such a hearty meal means you can often push back lunch, saving you a bit on your travel budget.

As for the rooms, they are quite standard – compact and clean, exactly what you'd expect for the price.

Honestly, Here's What You Should Know

While the Petronas Twin Towers are only about a 20-minute walk away, Kuala Lumpur's daytime temperatures often hover between 86-95°F (30-35°C), making a walk quite challenging. My advice? Download the Grab app (Southeast Asia's version of Uber/Lyft) beforehand. A Grab ride will get you there in about 5 minutes, making it super convenient and comfortable.

Hotel Area: Nearby Shops and Restaurants

There's a small convenience store right next to the hotel, though prices seemed a bit higher there. However, if you walk about 10 minutes, you'll find a Seven-Eleven and even a Domino's Pizza. Walk a little further, and there's a larger supermarket as well, perfect for stocking up on essentials.

Why Kuala Lumpur is a Great Summer Destination (July-August)

As I mentioned, May through September is Kuala Lumpur's dry season, meaning you'll mostly enjoy clear skies. While you might encounter a brief tropical shower (known as a "squall"), they usually pass quickly, so a small umbrella is all you'll need. Even though it's warm during the day, the city boasts excellent indoor facilities. You can easily stay cool by exploring the massive shopping malls and enjoying the hotel's pool. Plus, even during the peak summer months, Kuala Lumpur offers significantly more affordable prices compared to other popular Southeast Asian destinations, which is a huge bonus!
