Just Sleep Ximending: Your Top Taipei Hotel for Families & Foodies
Discover Just Sleep Ximending, a top Taipei hotel perfect for families and foodies. Located steps from Ximending Station, enjoy spacious rooms, free breakfast, and easy access to local delights. Plan your 2026 Taipei adventure!

Planning a trip to Taipei in 2026? When it comes to picking the perfect hotel, I always recommend focusing on one of these three prime areas:
[ Taipei Main Station, Ximending Station, Zhongshan Station ]
Ximending is the city's vibrant heart, often compared to Times Square or a bustling shopping district, packed with famous eateries and incredible shopping. Zhongshan, on the other hand, offers a more relaxed, trendy vibe, similar to a chic neighborhood with boutique shops and cafes.
Both are incredibly well-connected to Taipei Main Station, making your arrival from Taoyuan International Airport via the Airport MRT a breeze.
On my last adventure, I split my stay: two nights in Ximending and two in Zhongshan. Today, I'm excited to share my review of a Taipei hotel that I consider to have one of the absolute best locations: Just Sleep Ximending!

📌 Why Just Sleep Ximending is a Must-Stay:
· Just a 1-minute walk from Ximending Station Exit 6
· Perfect for families, accommodating up to 4 guests per room
· Iconic food spots like Ah Zong Mian Xian, Xing Fu Tang, and Tian Tian Li are all within a 3-minute stroll
· Offers spacious rooms at a fantastic value
Imagine this: famous local delights like Ah Zong Mian Xian (vermicelli), Xing Fu Tang (bubble tea), San Xiong Di Bing Su (shaved ice), and Yonghe Doujiang (soy milk) are practically on your doorstep. This means late-night snack runs are incredibly easy!
Plus, Shu Shin Bou, known for its delicious pineapple cakes, is right next door. You can stock up on souvenirs and easily drop them off in your room before continuing your exploration!
Given its unbeatable location, it's no surprise that I saw many international families enjoying breakfast here. It’s clearly a top choice for travelers seeking convenience and comfort.

1. Room Types & Pricing at This Taipei Gem

Superior Twin | 2 Single Beds | 26m2 (~280 sq ft) |

I personally stayed in the Superior Twin room. As you can see from the table, they offer a wide variety of room types to suit different needs.
The rooms are incredibly spacious and stylish, making this Ximending hotel an excellent choice whether you're traveling with friends, as a couple, or with a family of 3-4.

I loved the sofa nestled between the beds, perfect for relaxing and watching TV. The interior felt quite modern and sleek, almost like a cozy, contemporary capsule, which I found very appealing!

The bathroom features a cleverly separated layout with a shower stall, toilet, and a separate vanity area. This multi-zone design is fantastic for families, allowing multiple people to get ready simultaneously in the mornings.
The shower booth is generously sized, and all the doors are opaque, ensuring privacy – a huge plus!

I was particularly pleased to find a bidet. You can get a general sense of the modern, clean vibe from the photos above.
Taipei, much like popular destinations such as Tokyo and Seoul, can see accommodation prices climb during peak seasons. However, considering its prime location and the quality of the rooms, I managed to book a stay for around ~$154 per night (including breakfast), which I thought was a great deal!
Keep in mind that prices fluctuate significantly depending on your travel dates, so I highly recommend checking rates for your specific itinerary.

2. More About This Top Taipei Hotel

· Check-in: After 3:00 PM
· Check-out: Before 11:00 AM
The hotel has a modern exterior, and you'll find the main lobby on the 5th floor. A huge bonus is the 7-Eleven right on the ground floor, perfect for grabbing drinks and snacks late at night.
❗ For airport transfers from Taoyuan International Airport, take the MRT Express to Taipei Main Station, then it's just one subway stop to Ximending Station. The entire journey typically takes about 50 minutes to 1 hour.

Stepping into the Superior Twin room, you're greeted with a well-designed layout. Compared to many hotels in Japan, the rooms here feel incredibly spacious – I was very satisfied during my two-night stay! There's even a handy desk, which I used to spread out all my souvenirs.
Beyond the desk, a convenient bench-style chair provided the perfect spot to unpack and organize my luggage. Even 20-26 inch suitcases fit comfortably on it! The bedding was wonderfully plush, guaranteeing a cozy night's sleep.
❗ A fantastic perk: the smart TV supports YouTube and Netflix, making it easy to unwind with your favorite shows in the morning or evening.
Two complimentary bottles of water are provided per night, conveniently placed as shown in the picture. For refills, you'll find a water dispenser on every floor, which is a great eco-friendly touch!
Other essential amenities like a hairdryer, disposable slippers, and hangers are all readily available, so you won't need to pack them.
3. Delicious Breakfast at Just Sleep Ximending

· Breakfast Hours: 7:00 AM - 10:30 AM
After reading glowing reviews about the breakfast quality, I opted for the breakfast-included option when booking. And I'm so glad I did!
The buffet boasted a wide array of choices: a bakery corner with butter and two types of jam, cereals, various juices, milk tea, milk, soy milk, a coffee machine, rice and traditional side dishes, savory beef or chicken stew, Japanese-style fish, fishball soup, scrambled eggs, and much more. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly extensive, and I thoroughly enjoyed it throughout my two-night stay. It was especially perfect for fueling up before catching an early low-cost carrier flight!
The selection varied slightly each day, offering a fresh experience every morning. I'll be sure to share a dedicated breakfast buffet review soon!

Breakfast is served in the casual lounge area next to the 5th-floor lobby, which has a really pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

❗ From 1:00 PM to midnight, the 5th-floor lobby offers complimentary traditional Taiwanese snacks, a coffee machine, and various teas. There's also a hot water dispenser, which many guests cleverly use for their instant noodles – a true traveler's hack!
4. On-Site Facilities for Your Comfort

You'll find a well-equipped gym on the 6th floor, perfect for keeping up with your fitness routine while traveling.

The 5th-floor lobby also houses a convenient laundry room. A washing machine cycle costs approximately ~$2, and the dryer is about ~$1 for 16 minutes. An iron and ironing board are available for complimentary use. Given Taiwan's occasional rainy weather, this laundry facility is a lifesaver for quickly drying and refreshing your clothes!
✔ Searching for a hotel close to famous eateries like Ah Zong Mian Xian, Shu Shin Bou, Xing Fu Tang, Tian Tian Li, or Fuhong Beef Noodles? (The area is safe, so you can enjoy evenings out without worry!)
✔ Need a spacious room for your family?
✔ Want a well-connected hotel near major attractions like Shilin Night Market and Taipei 101 Observatory?
If any of these sound like you, I wholeheartedly recommend Just Sleep Ximending! I was genuinely impressed and would prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Taiwan.😌
