For this Taiwan trip,
I stayed 3 nights in Ximending.
When choosing accommodation,
the most important thing for me was the location.
Since I planned to explore Ximending late into the night,
I was looking for a place close to the MRT
with rooms that weren't too cramped.
After reading some reviews, I booked Just Sleep Ximending.
At the time of booking, I compared several sites,
and based on my travel dates, Hana Tour offered the best price,
so I booked through them.
After spending three nights there, I realized that
it was a highly satisfying accommodation based on its location alone!

Ximen Station Was So Close!
Stepping out of the hotel,
Ximen Station was right there, making
it incredibly convenient to get around.
The main street of Ximending was also just a short walk away,
making it perfect for exploring late into the night. Even when pulling luggage,
it wasn't a hassle.
What I loved most was that there's
a 7-Eleven right on the ground floor!!!
Every night before heading back to the room,
I'd grab drinks, beer, or snacks,
and chat with my friend, wrapping up the day.
These little things really boosted our travel satisfaction.
Superior Twin Room Review
We stayed in
a Superior Twin room.
Many reviews for other hotels mentioned cramped rooms,
but this one was much more spacious than I expected.

but the Superior Twin I stayed in
wasn't too cramped for a 3-night stay with a friend.
There was even space between the beds,
giving us a sense of personal space, you know?
The area in front of the beds was quite spacious,
which was perfect for
organizing our luggage or just taking a quick break.
I think if you're traveling with a friend,
you'll be really happy with this room.
The sink being outside the bathroom was so convenient!
Instead of being inside the bathroom,
the sink was
a separate unit outside.
This meant one person could shower
while the other could brush their teeth at the sink
or get ready with their makeup.
It was surprisingly convenient when traveling as a pair!
The shower area was also spotlessly clean.
No need to worry about power outlets!
With power outlets right next to the bed,
charging my phone was super convenient.
Just pack one travel power strip.
For this trip,
I used an unlimited eSIM,
so I didn't even connect to the room's Wi-Fi.

The room was great for relaxing, too!
The TV had direct YouTube access,
so I relaxed by watching videos every evening.
Netflix launched, but
I couldn't log in.
I was too lazy to ask, so I just stuck with YouTube.
The room also came with an electric kettle and drip bags,
so you could easily make coffee or tea,
and even instant ramen if you wanted!
Honestly, I was a bit worried about cockroaches,
but I found reviews saying there were no cockroach worries at this hotel,
which is why I booked it!
Breakfast was a bit disappointing.
My booking included breakfast,
so I made use of it.
While there was a good variety of dishes,
personal, I found everything
a bit too salty for my taste.
If breakfast is important to you,
this might be something to keep in mind.
There were a couple of downsides too.
Due to Taiwan's environmental policies,
many accommodations don't provide
disposable amenities.
I actually forgot my toothbrush,
and the hotel told me they don't offer
disposable items. ㅠㅠ
I ended up buying one at the 7-Eleven on the first floor,
but it was more expensive than I expected... ~$6.
Also, I didn't see any bottled water provided in the room.
I'd seen in other reviews that bottled water was usually offered, though...
Anyway, I had already brought some Sky Barley tea from Korea,
so I didn't bother asking the hotel for any!
Easy travel even after checkout!
After checking out,
I left my luggage at the hotel
and used a luggage delivery service to the airport.
Thanks to that, I could enjoy
my last day without my suitcase,
and I was able to pick up my bags directly at the airport.
It was incredibly convenient and I highly recommend it!

Just Sleep Ximending's
biggest advantage was definitely its prime location.
Being so close to Ximen Station made getting around super easy,
and the room was more spacious than I expected.
My friend and I stayed for three nights,
and we had a truly comfortable stay!
While the breakfast wasn't quite to my taste,
considering the room condition and its excellent location,
it was a perfectly satisfying accommodation.
If you're planning a stay in Ximending like I did,
I recommend comparing prices across different hotel platforms
before booking to snag the best deal!

The Superior Twin Room was quite spacious for a Ximending hotel, with enough space between the beds to ensure personal privacy. The bathroom sink was separated outside the shower area, which was convenient as one person could use the sink while the other was showering.
