Hey fellow travelers!
If you are planning a getaway to Taipei and looking at flight options, you will definitely want to read this. Today, I am sharing my personal experience flying with Jin Air from Seoul Incheon to Taipei!
Whenever I book a flight, pre-selecting my seat is an absolute must. I hate the risk of getting separated from my travel partner, and honestly, there is something so fun about picking the perfect window or aisle seat to match the vibe of the trip.
For this trip from Incheon (ICN) to Taipei (TPE) on Jin Air Flight LJ733, I decided to pre-book Jini Standard Seats 60A and 60B. For reference, Flight LJ733 operates on a widebody Boeing 777-200 aircraft.

Convenient Amenities Near the Boarding Gate
Our flight departed from Gate 246 in Terminal 2 at Incheon International Airport.

Incheon Airport Terminal 2 Gate 246
Since Terminal 2 is incredibly spacious, I always like to map out the nearest amenities before boarding. Luckily, the area around Gate 246 is packed with great facilities!

First up: Restrooms. If you are traveling with kids or elderly family members, a quick pre-boarding bathroom run is essential. Fortunately, there is a restroom located right next to the gate.
Second: Kids Play Area. According to the airport directory, Terminal 2 has several play zones in the duty-free shopping area. Right in front of Gate 246, you will find the adorable Pororo Park play zone!

Please note that this play area is designated for children under 8 years old accompanied by a guardian. It is a fantastic spot to let your little ones burn off some energy before the flight so they can sleep peacefully in the air.

Third: Convenience Store. Since low-cost carriers usually do not serve complimentary hot meals on short-haul flights, grabbing a bottle of water and some light snacks is highly recommended. The nearby convenience store is open 24 hours, making it perfect even for late-night departures.
Lastly: Smoking Room. For smokers, there is an electronic cigarette lounge located near Gate 247. It is less than a minute's walk from Gate 246, which is incredibly convenient. While this specific spot is for e-cigarettes, Terminal 2 features multiple designated smoking areas. You can find the full map below:

The Boarding Order Advantage
Because seats 60A and 60B are located in the very last zone of the aircraft, we were among the first to board right after priority passengers.
On previous flights where I sat near the front, boarding last often meant struggling to find open overhead bin space, which can be super stressful.
This time, being in the first boarding group meant we had zero rush. We easily found empty bins right above our seats to store our carry-ons and duty-free shopping bags.

Look at those beautifully empty overhead bins!
This small detail made a massive difference in our travel comfort. If you travel with a carry-on suitcase or love duty-free shopping, boarding early is a major win.
The Secret 2-Seat Row Layout
While the front and middle sections of the B777-200 feature a standard 3-row layout on the sides, row 60 is where it transitions into a 2-seat configuration due to the narrowing tail of the aircraft.

Boeing 777-200 Cabin Layout
If you have ever been stuck in a 3-seat window row, you know the struggle. Every time the person next to you needs the restroom or the flight attendants pass out items, you have to shuffle around.
Even on shorter flights, bumping elbows with a stranger can get uncomfortable quickly.
That is why 60A and 60B are so highly recommended! Having just the two of us side-by-side meant complete privacy. Plus, because the aisle widens where the rows transition from 3 to 2, we felt much less disrupted by people walking down the aisle.

Jin Air 2-Seat Row Configuration
Of course, sitting in the very back means you will be among the last to deplane. But honestly, I preferred it! Instead of standing up immediately and scrambling for bags in a crowded aisle, we just sat back, relaxed, turned on our eSIMs, and walked off calmly once the crowd cleared.
Seat Width and Legroom
At 4'11", I find almost any economy seat reasonably spacious. I had plenty of legroom, and I could easily turn around or organize my personal bag without feeling cramped.
My partner, Tae, is 5'10", so his experience was a better test of the space. While it wasn't incredibly roomy, he could easily reach the seat pocket and still had a couple of inches of clearance between his knees and the seat ahead.
For an economy class seat, it felt noticeably more open than the standard 3-seat rows, making for a very comfortable flight to Taipei.
The Verdict
Pre-selecting these Jini Standard seats cost us an extra ~$6 per seat. At first, I wondered if it was worth spending extra for a short 2.5-hour flight.
But after experiencing it, I can confidently say it was worth every penny! 😊
If you are traveling as a couple, with a partner, or a best friend, this is absolutely the best seating option on the plane.
We both agreed it made our journey so much smoother. Book these seats for your next trip, and have a wonderful, stress-free flight! ✨
These seats are located at the very back of the B777-200 aircraft, where the seating arrangement narrows from three seats to two. Since it seats exactly two people, you don't have to sit next to a stranger, and you're less likely to be bumped by people walking down the aisle.
Yes, there is a Pororo Park in front of Gate 246 for children under 8 years old and their guardians. It's a great place to spend time waiting with your child before boarding the flight.
They are classified as Jini Standard A seats, which incurs an additional cost of ~$6 per seat. It is ideal for two travelers to sit side by side, offering high satisfaction for the price.
Located in the rearmost zone of the plane, you can board first right after passengers needing special assistance. Thanks to this, the overhead bins are empty when you board, allowing you to comfortably store your carry-on luggage and duty-free items.
