During my stay, I easily walked to see the stunning night views of The Bund and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower from the hotel's vicinity!

3. A Closer Look: Ji Hotel People's Square Fujian Middle Road
Check-in is officially at 4:00 PM, so I arrived at the hotel around 12:00 PM planning to just drop off my luggage. To my surprise, they allowed me to early check-in a full four hours ahead of schedule!
Getting such an early check-in, which is rare in many places, was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and even gave me a small welcome gift!

Oriental Pearl View: Ji Hotel Superior View Room with Double Bed
Unlike some accommodations in Japan, Chinese hotels often offer more spacious rooms for a similar affordable price, which I really appreciated!
While two 26-inch suitcases might make the room feel a *little* snug, it's perfectly manageable. The room includes a double bed, a two-seater sofa, a table, a TV, a separate bathroom and shower, and a clothes hanger.
The double bed was comfortable and spacious enough for two adults. There was only one power outlet near the bed, so **I highly recommend bringing a power strip (or multi-adapter)!**
The bathroom was also quite spacious, featuring a toilet, sink, and a separate shower stall. Plus, the mirror even had built-in lighting – perfect for getting ready!
The two-seater sofa and tea set were a nice touch, great for enjoying some late-night snacks. However, as I mentioned, my particular room didn't come with a refrigerator, which is something to keep in mind.
And best of all, with a view of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower right from your window, isn't this truly a fantastic value-for-money hotel?
I was so satisfied with my stay that I'd gladly choose Ji Hotel again for my next trip to Shanghai!
Ji Hotel, being a prominent Chinese chain, offers clean rooms and excellent service at a very reasonable price point, which I believe is its biggest advantage.
