Jen Hong Kong by Shangri-La Review 2026: Value & Location

like Central or Tsim Sha Tsui, right?

However, instead of moving accommodation between each tourist spot,

choosing a hotel close to a subway station that allows easy access to major attractions

is also a great strategy!🤗

JEN Hong Kong by Shangri-La is located

just about a 1-minute walk from HKU Station, minimizing travel hassle,

and if you use the MTR, it's super convenient to get to Central and SoHo,

where you'll find a hub of shopping, cafes, and restaurants.

You can also easily add Sheung Wan to your itinerary,

a charming area where you can explore local eateries and historic streets.

From the Central Ferry Pier, you can catch the Star Ferry

or connect your transport to plan a trip across to the Kowloon area.

Using the nearby trams also lets you soak in the unique streetscapes

that are so characteristic of Hong Kong.

While the area directly in front of the hotel isn't a bustling district,

if you're keen to explore all the major attractions and shopping areas

across Hong Kong Island, its location is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Another big plus? After a full day of sightseeing, you won't have to walk far

from the station back to your accommodation.

2️⃣ Cleanliness & Room Size

Overall, JEN Hong Kong by Shangri-La gave me the impression

that it's very well-maintained and clean, with spotless bedding and no unpleasant odors in the room.

When you're searching for affordable hotels in Hong Kong,

you sometimes find rooms that are too small or not in the best condition.

But here, the overall room condition was incredibly clean and comfortable,

which was a huge plus for my stay.

The room we booked this time was a twin room.

Whenever I travel abroad with friends, I usually

prefer a twin room.

Even if we spend all day together exploring and having fun,

it's nice to have our own space to relax when it's time to rest. 😉

The room size was also generous, making it easy to spread out our luggage and organize our belongings,

which is a fantastic value!

It was spacious enough for two people,

and we were very satisfied with the ample space.

Netflix isn't pre-installed on the TV,

but we were able to watch it using the mirroring function!

The bathroom was convenient, with a separate bathtub, sink, and toilet.

Basic toiletries were also provided.

fitness facilities.

For those who love swimming

or consider exercise a must-do while traveling,

Cafe Malacca,

renowned for its Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine.

It generally receives rave reviews for its delicious food,

so if you're not up for venturing out for breakfast,

I'd definitely recommend their breakfast buffet!

It's so convenient to just sort everything out within the hotel

and then head straight out for sightseeing.
