As the Chuseok holidays in September and Golden Week in October approach, the thought of traffic jams might make you hesitate about traveling far. But staying home would be such a missed opportunity, wouldn't it?

This time, my partner and I settled into Brickstay Pension, nestled right on the beautiful Jebudo coastline.

It's the perfect spot I'd recommend for a refreshing getaway near Seoul, without all the fuss! 🌊

What truly made it special was sitting on our ocean-view balcony, gazing out at the sea – it really made me feel like I'd escaped to a faraway paradise!

And let me tell you, the ratings are absolutely stellar!

📌 A fantastic location perfect for seaside strolls and easy access to all the best local restaurants.

These four points truly capture what I loved most about Brickstay.

Strategically located in Jebudo's main coastal district, the pension boasts stunning sea views right out front, with a plethora of restaurants nearby, making dinner plans a breeze.

The nearest convenience store is a GS25, which is super handy.

During check-in, they kindly advised that convenience stores might close early in the evening, so it's a good idea to grab anything you need beforehand.

If you're planning a late night out, I'd definitely recommend stocking up on water and snacks first!

Parking was a breeze, with spots available both in front of the café and a generous, separate parking lot behind the building – absolutely no stress there!

We absolutely loved our stay in Ocean View Room #21!

The moment we stepped into the room, what immediately grabbed our attention was, of course, the stunning ocean!​

The ocean was visible even from inside our room, and stepping out onto the balcony, we found a table and two chairs – perfect for sitting back and soaking in the sea views at a leisurely pace.

With such beautiful weather, simply sitting there was enough to lift my spirits! ☺️

The room embraced a clean, minimalist vibe with its white and gray tones, and the space felt wonderfully ample.

You'll find a comfy double bed, a TV, a dining table for two, plus all the essentials like hangers and a hairdryer.

The kitchen area was also well-appointed with dishes, pots, and various utensils, making it easy to whip up simple meals.

The bathroom was also sparkling clean, and it came with reusable shampoo, conditioner, body wash, plus a toothbrush and soap.

We booked through Trip.com in early September on a weekday for around ~$88.

Considering its prime location right in front of Jebudo Beach, the price was quite reasonable.

Based on a search for an October 5th stay, Trip.com and Agoda offered the best prices among major booking platforms.

At Brick Stay Pension, you check in at Cafe Jeburi on the first floor.

There are quite a few pensions in Jebudo that operate alongside cafes or restaurants, but this one's cafe was so pretty it immediately caught my eye upon arrival.

The building itself is made of bright beige bricks, which perfectly complements the blue sky and the sea.

Step inside the cafe, and you'll be greeted by a refreshing view of the ocean through its large windows.

The interior is spacious and clean, so much so that during check-in, I thought, 'I definitely need to have coffee here tomorrow!'

But, wouldn't you know it, the next day was their closing day... ㅠㅠ

This time I only got to admire it, but I'm absolutely determined to try their coffee next time I visit Jebudo. ☕

We had dinner nearby, so we didn't end up using the barbecue facilities ourselves.

However, when I explored the back of the accommodation, I discovered a really well-equipped BBQ area.

There were outdoor tables, and also several separate, glass-enclosed BBQ rooms, which looked perfect for groups to enjoy privately.

In the evenings, the lights would turn on, creating a truly lovely atmosphere.

If you're planning to use the BBQ, it's a good idea to check availability and any associated costs in advance when making your reservation.

This accommodation was absolutely perfect for our trip, where instead of packed sightseeing on Jebudo, we wanted to quietly relax, gaze at the ocean, take strolls, and enjoy delicious food.

If you're looking for a relaxing getaway near Seoul for a holiday or weekend – especially when long-distance driving feels like too much, like during Chuseok – and just want to casually enjoy the ocean view, Brickstay Pension was an incredibly satisfying choice. 😊
