Typically running from May to October each year, you'll have to wait until May 2027 – that's a whole seven months – to catch it again.

The Luna Show is a spectacular free music fountain and laser show held at Dongtan Lake Park.

On show days, countless visitors spread out picnic mats on the grassy areas, enjoying a relaxed afternoon before staying to watch the Luna Show as night falls.

Kids absolutely adore it, and its exotic ambiance and leisurely vibe keep people coming back year after year.

This year, the addition of a new 4-story parking tower at Dongtan Lake Park seems to have eased parking worries, drawing even more visitors.

The program varies slightly by date, typically featuring three music fountain songs followed by two laser shows back-to-back.

My kids particularly love the days with K-Pop Demon Hunters' songs like 'Soda Pop' and 'Golden,' but honestly, caught up in the atmosphere, any music sounds fantastic! :>

Dongtan Lake Park Parking

If you're driving to Dongtan Lake Park, using the Parking Tower or the Underground Public Parking Lot is your best bet.

The Off-Street Public Parking Lot is quite small, so finding a spot there on a Luna Show day is practically impossible.

Alternatively, you can use parking at nearby commercial complexes. Luna Gallery offers the best accessibility, making its Luna Gallery parking lot a top choice, but Lac Mont and Grand Passage are also good options.

Lake Como requires a bit more of a walk.

For a weekend free parking tip, consider using the Dongtan Lake Park Eoullim Center Parking Lot.

Parking is free for 2 hours and 30 minutes on weekdays, and completely free on weekends and public holidays.

While it's a bit of a walk, it's a distance many local residents stroll regularly. If you're up for a leisurely walk and perhaps letting the kids ride their scooters, it's a pretty good choice! 👍

Luna Gallery Restaurants

While watching the Luna Show from an indoor restaurant or cafe within Luna Gallery would be lovely, if the weather is nice, you absolutely must embrace the picnic vibe on the lawn!

Pizza, chicken, and ramen are practically the winning menu for the Luna Show, wouldn't you say? :>

Orders at nearby establishments tend to surge on Luna Show days, so it's best to arrive early and place your order.

I once got boneless chicken and fries to-go from Today's Chicken & 77 Beer at Luna Gallery, and it was perfect for the kids.

Also, Circuit, a Suntory specialty bar, is incredibly popular these days.

Dongtan Lake Park Luna Show Review

Honestly, from an adult's perspective, the music fountain parts with songs are more enjoyable.

While I might wish for five songs instead of just three...

Still, Dongtan is a very kid-friendly city, so a Luna Show designed for children and their enjoyment makes perfect sense.

Just a heads-up: I've often seen younger children who are sensitive to loud noises or afraid of big sounds cry during the show.

It might be a good idea to bring earmuffs for young children.

Also, the evenings are getting chilly these days, and temperatures near the lake drop significantly at night, so a blanket or an outer layer is absolutely essential!

A picnic mat and a small table are also must-haves for your Dongtan Lake Park outing.
