Japan's Convenience Store: Seven-Eleven
Easily found all over Japan, Seven-Eleven
is a favorite for locals too, thanks to its
wide variety of products and impressive quality.
With its fantastic range of quick meals, desserts, and drinks,
it's the perfect spot to grab a satisfying bite during your travels.
Drinks & Smoothies
The beverage section at Seven-Eleven Japan is so massive
it easily fills up an entire wall.

✔️ Recommended Drinks
· Suntory Yogurina (Yogurt Flavor)
· Ilohas (Peach)
They look like plain water, but they have a subtle, refreshing yogurt and peach flavor.
They're incredibly clean-tasting and perfect for quenching your thirst.

Also, since exploring Japan usually means walking over 20,000 steps a day,
swelling relief + energy jellies are absolute essentials.

Seven-Eleven Fresh Smoothies
You simply grab a frozen cup from the freezer, pay at the counter,
and blend it yourself using the dedicated in-store machine.

The selection varies depending on the branch,
but they have 9 different flavors including Acai Banana, Double Berry Yogurt, and Green Smoothie.

Bakery, Rice Rolls & Pudding
The fresh food section at Seven-Eleven features
an incredible variety of sandwiches, bento boxes, and onigiri.

✔️ Recommended Picks
· Natto Sushi Roll
· Tamago (Egg Salad) Sandwich
· Soft-Boiled Egg Rice Ball
· Tuna Mayo Onigiri
They are simple, delicious, and so high-quality that they make a great quick meal
for breakfast, lunch, or a late-night craving.

· Ohayo Jersey Milk Pudding
It's incredibly rich and creamy, bringing out the delicious, authentic flavor of real milk.

Snacks & Ice Cream
The snack, gummy, and candy aisles are just as packed with options.
Out of all of them, I've handpicked only the ones I personally tried and highly recommend!

✔️ Top Picks
· Takenoko no Sato
The crispy, sweet Japanese cousin of Choco Boy (bamboo shoot version!)
· UHA Osatsu Doki Sweet Potato Chips (Salt Butter)
Sweet and salty—a crowd-pleasing flavor everyone will love!
· Ice no Mi (Grape Flavor)
A melt-in-your-mouth, ball-shaped sherbet ice cream.
It's the perfect refreshing finish to your day!

Takenoko no Sato / UHA Osatsu Doki Sweet Potato Chips (Salt Butter) / Ice no Mi
· Ohayo Caramel Brûlée Ice Cream
The cracked, caramelized coating on top paired with
smooth vanilla ice cream is pure heaven.

· Pino
These bite-sized, chocolate-coated ice cream treats come in a pack of six.

· Meiji Essel Super Cup (Chocolate)
Rich chocolate ice cream packed with tiny chocolate chips!

The famous candied sweet potatoes, 'Karitto Daigakuimo,'
were unfortunately sold out when I visited at the end of March.
Keep in mind that this is a seasonal item!

Alcohol & Beer
The alcohol section is massive—
it takes up almost half of the refrigerated shelves!

From regular, light, and non-alcoholic beers
to chuhai, wine, whiskey, sake, and shochu,
it's the perfect place to sample a wide variety of Japanese drinks.

Oden (Fish Cake Stew)
One of the things I was looking forward to most on this trip
was none other than Japanese convenience store oden!
I was a bit worried since they're becoming harder to find lately due to rising costs and hygiene concerns,
but luckily, the Seven-Eleven on the first floor of Hotel Monterey La Soeur
where I stayed had them fully stocked! (As of late March)

✔️ Top Recommendations
Daikon (radish) and Tamago (boiled egg) are absolute must-tries!

It's budget-friendly, convenient, and perfect for
