While preparing for my Fukuoka trip, I searched for so many amazing restaurants.

Fukuoka Tenjin's renowned restaurant, Inabacho Ikkei (因幡町 一慶)
It's a spot that pops up everywhere – from friends' recommendations to YouTube and online searches –
and its signature dish, Tai Chazuke (sea bream over rice in tea broth),
is especially famous.
Today, I'll share everything about Inabacho Ikkei: dinner, waiting tips, menu,

Review
After ordering, complimentary side dishes and sake were brought out.
The staff recommended a sake, and I initially ordered it by the glass,
but the staff member kindly suggested the tokkuri was more economical and switched it for me.

The first sake was a local Fukuoka brew,
sweet and refreshing like a white wine,
and it truly awakened my palate.

Tai Chazuke is served with delicate sea bream, fluffy rice, and a comforting warm broth, all presented separately.

How to Savor Your Tai Chazuke
1. Mix in a bit of wasabi and delight in the harmony of the chewy sea bream sashimi and the rich, nutty sesame sauce.

2. Place a succulent piece of sea bream and a dab of wasabi atop the rice, enjoying it just like a delicate piece of sushi.

3. Once you've enjoyed it partially, gently pour in the comforting warm broth.

Perhaps because I opted for double the sea bream, the portion was incredibly generous!
Each fresh piece, when paired with a touch of wasabi, simply melts in your mouth.

Starting off, it had the delightful feel of hoe-deopbap (sashimi over rice),
and by the end, it transformed into a comforting and hearty meal, much like a warm gukbap (rice soup).

For my second sake, I took the staff's recommendation and ordered a tokkuri of
Nabeshima, a highly popular brand from the Saga region.
It was less sweet and had a crisper finish than the first, making it an even more perfect complement to the dishes.

Overall Verdict
I instantly understood why my friends and favorite YouTubers
raved about this place!
✔️ Super convenient! Just a 2-minute walk from Tenjin Station.
✔️ Impeccable, friendly service and even a Korean menu for ease.
✔️ Incredibly fresh sea bream.
If you're seeking an authentic Tai Chazuke experience at a fantastic restaurant in Fukuoka's Tenjin area,
I wholeheartedly recommend Inabacho Ikkei!
It’s perfect for a memorable first-night dinner or simply to enjoy a casual glass of sake.
