During my trip to Canada, I booked a 3-day, 2-night Quebec tour
that included spending one night in Quebec City and
another night in Montreal.
For our night in Montreal, we stayed at the Hyatt Place Montreal Downtown.
It was located super close to all the major attractions,
making it incredibly easy to get around!

After traveling from Quebec to Montreal,
we arrived at the Hyatt Place Montreal Downtown
right in time for check-in.

If you have large suitcases or lots of luggage,
you can easily move them using the luggage carts provided right at the hotel entrance.
As soon as I stepped inside the lobby of the Hyatt Place Montreal,
I was immediately struck by how clean and modern everything looked.
One of the best perks of this Hyatt Place
is that there’s a Starbucks and a grocery store right on the ground floor.
The store is actually quite large, making it super convenient to pick up
snacks, drinks, or quick souvenirs.

The first-floor lobby has a lovely seating area
where you can relax or enjoy a drink,
making it a great spot to sit down, unwind, and chat.
At the Hyatt in Downtown Montreal, we stayed in a Double Room,
and it was incredibly spacious—there was more than enough room
to lay out two large suitcases completely flat with space to spare!
It also comes fully equipped with an iron, ironing board, and safe.
If you pack a lot of shirts or linen clothes, it's super convenient
to press them and keep yourself looking sharp on your trip.
In one corner of the Double Room, there's a cozy little sofa and a small table—
perfect for enjoying a relaxing cup of tea or coffee in the morning.
The beds in the Double Room were super comfy and spacious.
Having our own beds meant that even if one of us tossed and turned,
we could both get a perfectly peaceful night's sleep.
Right in front of the bed is a huge, wide-screen TV.
If you pack an HDMI cable, you can easily connect your devices
to watch YouTube or your favorite shows, which is a great bonus!
There is also a chair placed perfectly under the TV,
making it super convenient to set up a laptop. I ended up getting a bit of work done here! :D
The bathroom and shower booth in the double room have a clean, modern aesthetic,
and they felt wonderfully upscale and luxurious.
The shower booth also features a glass partition,
which keeps the water from splashing out and makes it so much easier to keep clean.
You get two key cards per room,
so you don't have to worry if someone wants to head out and explore on their own.
You can also use these (and just give your room number) to grab your breakfast later!
I've stayed at a few different hotels in Canada, and most of them seem to have
a capsule coffee machine in the room with about four coffee pods provided.
While these are always free to enjoy,
I'd highly recommend rinsing out the coffee machine's water tank before using it.
Looking out from my room in Montreal,
there was a park nearby where some kind of festival was taking place.
Around the time of my visit, there was a national holiday coming up,
so the whole city was buzzing with energy and anticipation.
Since it was so close, I decided not to just watch from the window—
I went outside to soak up the lovely little festival vibes in person!
The breakfast area in this Montreal hotel is located on the second floor,
sharing a spacious zone with the business center and a lounge area.
If you're traveling with friends or as part of a tour,
this would be a wonderfully comfortable and inviting space to sit back,
enjoy a refreshing beer, and hang out.
I headed down early, right in time for breakfast,
and was surprised to see quite a few early risers already digging in!
The dining area is incredibly spacious,
so you definitely won't have to worry about finding a seat.
The spread offered a fantastic variety of breakfast options,
and they even had a nice selection of fresh fruits for dessert.
As for the coffee station,
I noticed people gathering near the entrance and realized that's where the coffee was.
I hadn't noticed it when I first walked in, but seeing everyone enjoying a cup,
I looked around and found the coffee station set up right by the entrance!
I grabbed a seat facing the window so I could eat while looking outside.
Isn't the view absolutely lovely?
I absolutely adore this kind of cozy aesthetic. Sitting there by the window,
I loved watching the locals start their morning commutes in Canada.
The breakfast during my Montreal trip was incredibly hearty and delicious!
Even compared to my trips to Europe, the breakfast spread here felt so much more satisfying.
In Europe, so many places had the same repetitive options and surprisingly little to choose from,
but here, there was plenty of variety, and I definitely loaded up on freshly made egg dishes!
Plus, maybe because Canada is famous for its potatoes,
I loved that there were so many fries and potato-based dishes to enjoy.
(Total potato lover right here... 🥔)
Even though I only spent a single night in Montreal,
I got a wonderful taste of the city's unique charm and vibe.
The Hyatt Place hotel in downtown Montreal
is super close to major tourist spots,
and the lively, trendy streets are just a 10-minute walk away,
making it incredibly easy to pop out for a quick stroll!
If you're currently looking for a place to stay in downtown Montreal,
I honestly don't think you can find a better spot than this.
You should definitely put Hyatt Place on your list! :D
