Experience the ultimate relaxation with a traditional Vietnamese herbal hair wash and head massage at Huong Giang Spa in Da Lat for under $10.

Why Da Lat is the Perfect Place for a Vietnamese Herbal Hair Wash
For some reason, herbal hair washes (known locally as Gội đầu dưỡng sinh) are incredibly popular in Da Lat compared to other regions in Vietnam. While most travelers opt for full-body or foot massages in places like Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, coming to Da Lat often means booking a dedicated head therapy and hair wash session.
Since I absolutely love head massages, I made it my mission to try out a few spots during my time in Da Lat. Today, I’m sharing my experience at one of the most famous and highly recommended local spots: Huong Giang Spa.

First Impressions & Vibe

I visited both during the day and at night, but the exterior looks much more charming lit up in the evening, so that's the photo I'm sharing. From the outside, it looks like a typical, unassuming local Da Lat spa.

Step inside, and you'll find a surprisingly cozy, cute interior with a dedicated waiting area tucked in the back.

Huong Giang Spa Pricing (as of 2026):
Full Body Massage (90 minutes): 450,000 VND (approx. $18 USD)
Herbal Hair Wash & Head Therapy: 249,000 VND (approx. $10 USD)
Combo Package: 499,000 VND (approx. $20 USD)
The combo package seemed like the best value, but since I arrived quite late and hadn't made a reservation, I decided to save that for my next visit and just went with the standard hair wash.

Even though I was the one who showed up unannounced, the staff was incredibly sweet and apologetic. They handed me their card and recommended booking in advance next time. They also mention that they offer free hotel pickup if you are booking for two or more people. Since I was solo, I just took a quick Grab ride over.
The Herbal Hair Wash Experience

The treatment area isn't a collection of completely private rooms, but rather a shared space divided by heavy curtains. Seeing all the specialized head therapy equipment lined up got me super excited before the treatment even started!

Once they draw the curtains, the lighting becomes beautifully dim and relaxing. The basins are custom-designed with a built-in water drainage system right where your head rests. Since I was lying down, I took a quick photo of the ceiling just to show the cozy setup!

I actually dozed off a few times during the session. They wash and rinse your hair about two or three times using natural herbal products, but the real highlight is the extensive scalp massage, acupressure, and neck care. It felt incredibly thorough, lasting for a full, blissful hour.

After the hair wash is complete, you are guided to a separate room for a soothing foot bath while they dry your hair. They do a great job blow-drying it for you, but like most local hair wash spots, I prefer doing the final styling touches myself so it looks exactly how I like it.
Spa Location, Hours & Practical Tips
📍 Huong Giang Spa - Gội đầu dưỡng sinh Đà Lạt
93 Đường Trần Khánh Dư, Phường 8, Thành phố Đà Lạt, Lâm Đồng 66000, Vietnam
Huong Giang Spa is located in the northern part of Da Lat. Unless you are planning a trip up to Langbiang Mountain, this will likely be the northernmost point you'll visit during your itinerary. Remember, if you are traveling with a partner or group (2+ people), you can request their free hotel pickup service when making your reservation.
Opening Hours: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM daily.
If you want to book the full combo package, I highly recommend arriving before 7:00 PM. While you technically could start later, arriving closer to closing time can feel a bit rushed as the staff prepares to wrap up their day.

They also have clean, separate shower facilities if you need to freshen up. As for tipping, there is absolutely no pressure or aggressive tip-forcing here. If you enjoyed your treatment, leaving a small tip for your therapist is always appreciated, but it is entirely up to your discretion.
If you're looking for a truly professional, high-quality Vietnamese herbal hair wash and scalp massage in Da Lat, Huong Giang Spa is an excellent choice. It’s a no-nonsense local gem that focuses entirely on delivering a fantastic, deeply relaxing experience.
