Among Fukuoka's 4-star hotels, breakfast included
Famous for its excellent value, with stays around early to mid ~$70s per night,
Hotel Trad Hakata!
I was completely satisfied with everything from the room size and the friendly service to the delicious breakfast,
it was one of those places I'd definitely want to revisit!

01. Location

📍 Hotel Trad Hakata
Japan 〒812-0018 Fukuoka, Hakata Ward, Sumiyoshi, 3-chōme−12−1 えん博多ビル
It's an 8-minute bus ride from Hakata Station,
or about a 14-minute walk, but the hotel operates a shuttle bus to Hakata Station,
making it a great choice for your last day of travel when you need to head to the airport the next day,
or even for your very first night.

There's a 7-Eleven convenience store on the hotel's first floor,
and Canal City is nearby, making it perfect for exploring restaurants
or enjoying some shopping.
02. Fukuoka Value Hotel Pricing

I booked the most affordable Double Room.
While most Japanese business hotels are around 15㎡,
this one boasts 20㎡, and with its long hallway,
there was still plenty of room to open my suitcase next to the bed.

There's a small table and sofa, a vanity, and a TV,
and the best part was that Netflix and YouTube are available!
Usually in Japanese hotels, you're stuck with public broadcast channels,
so I never even bothered with the TV, but this was a game-changer!

The view is a city view overlooking the Naka River,
and it was beautiful both by day and by night.

The bathroom was clean, and the bathtub was spacious.
As expected from a 4-star hotel, it was impeccably maintained.

To give you a detailed review, starting from the check-in process:
The lobby was luxurious, and there were plenty of spaces to relax.
The staff were also fluent in English and very friendly.
Bath salts are provided, so
if you're planning a half-bath, make sure to grab some!

The bed was a double size,
and comfortable pajamas were laid out on top.

Amenities included toothpaste, toothbrushes, body wash, shampoo, conditioner,
slippers, an electric kettle, bottled water, and coffee.
No need to bother bringing your own – everything is thoughtfully provided!
There's also a small but charming fountain inside the hotel.
It looked perfect for a light stroll after dinner.

04. Breakfast

Breakfast is served at the restaurant next to the lobby on the first floor.
It operates from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM,
with the last entry at 9:40 AM.

The breakfast selection was incredibly diverse!
From Western-style options like salads, fruits, ham, cheese, french fries, chicken,
sausage, and bacon,
to Japanese-style dishes such as salmon, mentaiko rolled omelets, simmered dishes, and udon,
everything was available.

The highlight was the mini unagi don (eel rice bowl)!
It was incredibly delicious, with not a single tiny bone.

From bread, cakes, sodas, juices, iced tea,
to coffee, the dessert and drink options were incredibly diverse!
Coffee was also available for takeout,
which was perfect for grabbing a cup after breakfast and enjoying it back in our room.

With a free shuttle bus to Hakata Station,
getting around on checkout day was a breeze,
and Hotel Trad Hakata truly is a fantastic spot to unwind in a peaceful location!
