🛁 An Honest Review of

Our Two Room Types

After endlessly searching online before our trip,

this exterior and lobby felt so familiar! Haha. 😄

In the lobby, there's a small convenience stand

selling light snacks, coffee, and swimming gear

(you can see it in the very last photo)!

For our first night, we stayed in the Mountain View

Junior Pool Suite Double Room

(featuring one double bed).

On our second night, we moved to the City/Lake View

Junior Pool Suite Family Twin Room

(with two double beds and a lovely view of Suseong Lake).

It was absolutely beautiful.

We'll refer to them simply as the Double Room

and the Family Twin Room for the rest of this post!

Aside from the number of beds and the size of the room,

all the amenities and facilities were identical!

I read a few reviews bringing up cleanliness issues,

but honestly, I found both of our rooms to be absolutely spotless.

In both rooms,

we filled up the tubs with hot, mineral-rich hot spring water

and had a nice, warm soak.

It felt like pure luxury! 👍

Mountain View Double Room Private Hot Spring Pool

City View Family Twin Private Hot Spring Pool

Since the Family Twin room is much larger,

the hot spring pool inside is pretty massive too, right?

It was easily the size of a small plunge pool

you'd find at a Korean spa!

Think about it—even regular hotels

with a basic whirlpool tub (not even real hot spring water!)

easily cost upwards of ~$192 a night

during the off-season.

But here, you get

actual natural hot spring water,

so in terms of value for money,

it's an absolute steal!

The Real Highlight!

① The Infinity Pool —

Need I say more?

The absolute deciding factor for booking Hotel Suseong

was this incredible infinity pool.

While other Daegu spots like the Inter-Burgo

or Marriott are nice,

Hotel Suseong is the only one that gives you that epic combo

of Suseong Lake and a city skyline from an infinity pool.

Looking out over Suseong-gu—

often dubbed the "Gangnam of Daegu"—

with all its sleek skyscrapers unfolding right in front of you...

wow, it was absolutely breathtaking!

Another huge plus? It's heated,

so you can enjoy it year-round, no matter the season!

Just head up the elevator to the pool entrance:

the left side is open to both hotel guests and day-pass visitors,

while the right side is reserved exclusively for

hotel guests and club members.

During the off-season, they only run the exclusive right side.

Renting a sunbed costs ~$6 for 4 hours.

We rented one on the first day,

but on the second day, we just left our belongings on a regular

bench near the lifeguard station.

And you know how safe South Korea is, right?

No one will ever touch your stuff!

We helped a sweet family take some group photos,

and they returned the favor by snapping this

gorgeous shot of us!!

② Restaurant — Four Seasons Suseong

Of course, the buffet restaurant boasts those same stunning Suseong Lake views.

The weekday dinner buffet is

With the weekday discount for the June promotion,

it was ~$38 per person.

The dinner buffet (+$38/person with the weekday promo applied)

was absolutely amazing!

Salads, tacos, noodles, and more (I didn't take too many photos!)

As a massive lamb chop lover...

I think we each devoured 4 to 5 lamb chops!

They grill them to absolute perfection...

Our plates! And this wasn't even all of it. There was also soy-marinated crab, but I missed getting a photo.

If you're visiting with growing kids or teenagers

who have huge appetites,

this is the ultimate place to get your money's worth!

And dads, don't worry—you won't be left out!

There's unlimited draft beer! Haha 🍻

Breakfast is also served at Four Seasons.

It had a great variety and tasted wonderful! (+$19/person)

③ Sauna —

Ever since COVID,

I barely had any chances to visit a sauna,

but hotel guests can use it for a discounted price of only ~$6,

so I jumped right on it!

It's also the perfect spot to visit

with your parents, don't you think?

However, the outdoor baths and the indoor pool

require an additional fee,

so we skipped those.

It's a shame we can't take photos inside the sauna

to show you!

④ Cafe —

Agoda offers the absolute lowest price for a Mountain View Double Room.

Here's another quick tip for you:

Since most of the restaurants and cafes are clustered right around Suseong Lake,

walking back and forth up the hill can be a bit tiring.

The location of Hotel Suseong can actually be a bit of a challenge

for travelers without a car,

especially when heading out to eat!

If you walk just a little way down from the main entrance of the New Building,

Instead of heading into Parking Lot P2,

go to P1 and cross the connecting bridge

shown in the photo on the left to reach Suseong Square.

Take the elevator in Suseong Square

down to the 1st floor, and you'll find

the building entrance shown in the photo on the right.

If you cross the street right here, you're at Suseong Lake!

It's a much easier shortcut to get to the restaurant area.

I had such a wonderful and satisfying

staycation in Daegu,

making it an incredibly memorable trip!
