Just three plates of the same dish at the hotel breakfast!

Even I'd never done something like this before!

The morning after a fantastic one-night stay at Daegu Marriott Hotel.

I'd been out late with friends the night before,

so I actually considered skipping breakfast entirely.

But then,

I heard that the Daegu Marriott breakfast was delicious,

so I eventually rubbed my sleepy eyes and dragged myself downstairs. 😂

And to cut to the chase,

I'm so glad I went for breakfast, all thanks to the soufflé pancakes!

I'll tell you why I ended up eating three plates below!

Even for hotel breakfast, it's not exactly on the cheaper side.

So, before I actually ate it,

I even wondered if it was truly worth paying over ~$36.

But once I tried it myself, I found the menu surprisingly diverse,

and with dishes prepared fresh on the spot, it was actually much better than I expected.

Made-to-order Omelets

The chef whips them up fresh right when you order.

Perhaps it's because they're made fresh, but they were so moist and soft,

they were quite satisfying among all the breakfast options.

Highly recommended if you love omelets!

🥟 The Dumplings Were Surprisingly Good!

I honestly didn't expect much from dumplings at a hotel breakfast,

but they were surprisingly good, with a juicy, moist filling.

🍚 Fried Rice + Fried Egg

A solid, comforting choice for breakfast.

Ingredients for Bibimbap and even rice noodles (pho) were also available,

so you could customize your meal exactly to your liking.

But the real star of the show was yet to come!

After the first plate, I thought,

"Oh? This is good!"

Then, after the second,

"Wait, this is *really* delicious!"

And eventually,

I went back for a third plate!

Imagine delightfully fluffy pancakes topped with

whipped cream and even fresh Shine Muscat grapes.

One bite, and it simply melts in your mouth!

They're so much softer than regular pancakes,

with a moist, pudding-like texture that makes them utterly irresistible.

So, if someone asked me

to pick just one thing to eat?

I wouldn't hesitate,

There were also some dishes that, personally, I found a bit disappointing.

Not every single dish was perfectly to my taste.

I found the mushroom cream soup a bit too salty,

so I only had a few spoonfuls before putting it aside.

Just because it's hotel breakfast doesn't mean everything will be delicious;

it seems personal preferences still play a role.

Still, overall, my satisfaction was high.

An Unexpected Combination I Recommend

For dessert, try some banana with Nutella,

just a little bit on the side.

It might seem like nothing special, but it's surprisingly delicious.

What's the best time to go for breakfast?

On weekends, it can get crowded around 8 AM,

so if you want to enjoy your meal more leisurely, I recommend going early.

If it were me, I'd aim for around 7:40 AM to 8:00 AM.

If you want a relaxed meal, I recommend heading down not too late.

So, is ~$39 worth it?

it's usually cheaper to book a 'breakfast-included rate'

when you first make your accommodation reservation!
