Looking for an affordable, modern beachfront hotel in Busan? Here is my honest review of Hotel Central Bay at Gwangalli Beach, where I scored a Friday night stay for an incredible value of just ~$102.

Gwangalli Beach Accommodation: Modern, Clean, and Perfectly Located
Hotel Central Bay City View Room Review
📍 Hotel Central Bay
189 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan
✅ Incredible Weekday Value (~$102)
✅ Prime Beachfront Location
✅ Sleek, Modern Interiors
✅ Best Nearby Dining Spots
Prime Location in the Heart of Gwangalli,
Unbeatable Value at ~$102 a Night
Getting to stay in a high-quality beachfront hotel on a Friday night for just ~$102 for two people felt like an absolute steal. Located right in front of Gwangalli Beach, you are steps away from the sand and surrounded by the area's liveliest spots. The accessibility is second to none.

I booked this stay through Agoda, which is my go-to platform for travel deals. Since Busan's peak summer season drives hotel prices up quickly, booking as early as possible is highly recommended to lock in the best rate!

A City View That Exceeded My Expectations
To be honest, when booking a city-view room, I didn’t expect much of a view. However, once I drew back the curtains, I was pleasantly surprised by the charming urban landscape of Gwangalli. It had a wonderful local vibe that I instantly fell in love with.

Sleek, Clean, and Brand-New Interiors
As a newly opened property, everything from the furniture to the decor felt fresh, modern, and spotlessly clean.

The bed was incredibly plush and pristine, and the room featured a cozy sofa tucked into the corner. The layout is perfectly optimized for winding down with a cold craft beer in the evening.

The room comes fully equipped with essential amenities, including an electric kettle, clean mugs, and complimentary bottled water in the mini-fridge.

Spotless, Modern Bathroom and Eco-Friendly Amenities
Bathroom cleanliness is always my top priority when choosing a hotel, and Central Bay absolutely nailed it. The shower booth is completely separated from the toilet and vanity area, maintaining a dry and pleasant space. The pristine tiles and fixtures showcase the ultimate standard of a brand-new hotel.

Standard bath products like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap are generously provided. However, in line with modern eco-friendly hospitality practices, disposable items like toothbrushes and toothpaste are not included in the complimentary setup.

If you forget to pack yours, you'll need to purchase them separately, so I highly recommend bringing your own personal dental kit along.

With its combination of cleanliness, style, and prime location, this is a spot I would confidently recommend to any friend visiting Busan.
The Perfect End to a Busan Foodie Tour
Draft Beers in Baseball Bats on the First Floor
The hotel is surrounded by vibrant local pubs and fantastic restaurants overlooking the ocean, making it incredibly easy to map out a perfect evening itinerary.
📍 Paldak (Raw Fish with a Bridge View)
2nd Floor, 251 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan
📍 Yakitori Roman (Gwangalli Branch)
1st Floor, 2 Minrak-ro 19beon-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan
📍 Beer Bat
1st Floor, 189 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan
After indulging in a gorgeous sashimi spread at Paldak while gazing at the Gwangan Bridge, and exploring the hidden gems of Yakitori Roman, I wasn't quite ready to call it a night. Luckily, the hotel's first floor is home to Beer Bat, a trendy pub with a fantastic atmosphere.
Sipping a cold draft beer while taking in the sparkling night view of Gwangalli Beach was the highlight of the night. Having such a lively spot right inside the hotel building, complete with stunning night views, is a massive perk.

If you are planning a trip to Busan for summer 2026, don’t hesitate to book your stay. With its unbeatable location, pristine brand-new facilities, and highly reasonable rates, it checks all the boxes.
