The Grand Buffet is located inside Hopewell Centre, right in the heart of Wanchai, Hong Kong.

The building itself is so distinctive and large that finding it was a breeze.

If you walk from Wanchai Station,

You'll arrive quicker than you expect!

However, the truly important thing to note is

the internal flow of the building.

In Hong Kong's towering skyscrapers, elevators are often designated for specific floor ranges!

It's not a direct ride to the top;

you'll need to transfer elevators midway, which can be a bit confusing at first.​

👉 Here's the travel sequence:

1st floor → 17th floor

→ Transfer to the scenic observation elevator, taking you from the 17th floor up to the 55th floor

→ Then, take the restaurant-exclusive elevator to the 62nd floor.

While arriving on time for your Hong Kong restaurant reservation is important,

I highly recommend allocating extra time because of the elevator transfers.

Especially if you ride it in the evening, the view is so spectacular that you might not even feel the need to ride the Peak Tram!

It's designed with stunning floor-to-ceiling glass panels on one side,

so much so that it might even give you a touch of vertigo!

At first, I admit I was a little scared and clung to the back wall to peek out.

But as I got used to the sensation, it felt more like an exhilarating amusement park ride,

and I found myself pressing up against the glass too!

The view is absolutely spectacular, and the feeling of ascending versus descending is uniquely different,

making it a Hong Kong must-do that you'll want to ride at least five times!

However, it would be a shame to only experience the elevators and then leave.

After securing your Hong Kong restaurant reservation and ascending even higher to the 62nd floor,

you can indulge in a luxurious meal and an incredible view from inside the building's 360-degree rotating interior!
