Planning a Hong Kong adventure this autumn?
Thinking about October and November weather, you might expect it to be a bit cooler, but...
I actually traveled to Hong Kong in the second week of November before.
But even now, when I think about November in Hong Kong,
the first thing that comes to mind is,
"Wow, why was it so hot?!" Lol.

Even for Hong Kong, I naturally assumed it would be cool by November, but I was practically drenched in sweat exploring during the day.
I'll break down everything from the October and November Hong Kong weather to this year's Wine & Dine Festival,
and the essential Octopus Card and transportation tips for your Hong Kong journey.
01 October & November Hong Kong Weather
If you look up the weather for October and November in Hong Kong,
you'll find the temperatures are higher than you might expect.
Based on average years, November in Hong Kong sees an
average high of about 26℃, and a
low of about 20℃,
making it perfectly fine to wear short sleeves during the day.

Hong Kong Weather | October | November |
High Temp | 30℃ | 26℃ |
Low Temp | 24℃ | 20℃ |
Humidity | 66% | 65% |
When I visited Hong Kong back in November,
it was so incredibly hot and sweaty that I
vividly remember thinking, "Is this really November?!" Lol.
Especially since Hong Kong trips involve a lot of walking, and with the added humidity
(though October and November are technically dry season),
if you only pack 'autumn clothes,' you might find yourself much hotter than expected.

So, for your November Hong Kong trip attire,
instead of thick outerwear, it's more comfortable to pack
short-sleeved tops or thin long-sleeved shirts, and
a light jacket or cardigan to throw on for air-conditioned indoors and cooler evenings.
Of course, the weather can vary year by year,
but the Hong Kong I experienced in November was
significantly hotter than I anticipated... lol.

Don't forget to double-check the weather forecast
before you depart!
