A Must-Visit Area on Your Hong Kong Adventure

Hong Kong's Central and Sheung Wan districts are places you'll almost certainly find yourself exploring during your trip,
and for good reason — they're absolute hotspots for incredible food!
They're fantastic for walking between various attractions and eateries,
which is why this area is one of my personal favorites to explore.

The perfect spot for dinner in Central!
The undisputed champion among Sichuan restaurants!

I'll let you know separately, like above.
But even for places without special discounts,
there's still a way to get savings!
That's by using an Octopus Card!
See the lowest price for Hong Kong Octopus Card
Most restaurants in Hong Kong
accept Octopus Card payments.
This card isn't just for Hong Kong public transport;
it's also used in convenience stores, restaurants, and many other places.
And here's a cool tip: you can even use it until it goes into a negative balance!
So when I travel to Hong Kong, I usually buy one for each person in my group!
I've compiled everything from how to use it with a negative balance to tips for checking your balance,
so make sure to check out the post below!
Medora
📍 Medora
G/F, 111 Wellington St, Central, Hong Kong
Located between Sheung Wan and Central stations,
it has an elegant atmosphere that women especially love.
Highly recommended for a date or when you're looking for a great place to take your parents!
2. Causeway Bay & Wan Chai Restaurants
Causeway Bay has an atmosphere similar to Myeongdong in Korea,
It's a mecca for foodies and shoppers,
and the most trendy and vibrant district.
Right next door, Wan Chai is a bit quieter, but
it's a gem with many hidden culinary delights!
Restaurants within Fashion Walk
📍 Fashion Walk - Kingston Street
Basement, Block B, Kingston Building, Kingston St, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
This is a fantastic alley where many incredible restaurants are gathered!
Since it's located in a popular shopping district,
you can seamlessly transition from shopping to a delicious meal,
making it perfect for a full-day itinerary.
I've picked out my TOP 3 favorite restaurants among the many at Fashion Walk.

Wagyu Mafia
📍 WAGYUMAFIA Hong Kong
Guardian House, Shop 1B, G/F, 32 Oi Kwan Rd, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
Among all the restaurants I've visited in Hong Kong, this one had
the highest price per person,
but it's a Wan Chai gem I'd gladly return to!

It's a beef omakase experience perfect for special occasions.
In branches outside of Hong Kong, it's an exclusive spot where you can only enter
with a high-priced membership!
Nabe Urawa Hysan Place
📍 Nabe Urawa (Hysan Place)
Shop 1404-1405, 14th Floor, Hysan Place, 500 Hennessy Rd, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
This restaurant offers clean, Japanese-style shabu-shabu
with an all-you-can-eat option!
It's a style of restaurant rarely seen in my home country, so I visit often.

There's even a way to get a free wagyu coupon,
so if you love shabu-shabu, make sure to check out the review below!
3. Tsim Sha Tsui Restaurants in Hong Kong
Tsim Sha Tsui is a tourist hotspot you absolutely must visit during your Hong Kong trip,
thanks to its night markets, stunning night views, and fantastic shopping!
Given its popularity, many restaurants require advance reservations,
so when you're planning your Hong Kong restaurant list,
make sure to double-check dates and times.
Honestly, forget everything else about Tsim Sha Tsui —
I'm just going to recommend one, my absolute favorite, Hong Kong dim sum restaurant!
Cuisine Cuisine
📍 Cuisine Cuisine The Mira
3rd Floor, The Mira Hong Kong, 118-130 Nathan Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

This is a place where you can enjoy Michelin-starred dim sum in a buffet style.
You can eat to your heart's content, but what's even better
is that the quality surpasses the quantity, making it my
number one Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui restaurant recommendation!
This Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui restaurant is perfect for everyone:
couples on a date, families, and first-time Hong Kong travelers alike.
I've already been multiple times,
and I'll definitely go again on my next trip to Hong Kong!
I truly hope you get to experience it!
4. Hong Kong Airport & Citygate Outlets Restaurants
This is a great area for meals before or after your flight!
When you look at Hong Kong restaurant lists, it seems the airport area isn't often recommended?
Perhaps it's just because people tend to eat simple meals there?

For me, the last meal of a Hong Kong trip
absolutely has to be a good one
to feel like the trip ended on a perfect note.
Canton House
📍 悅見 Canton House
Unit 601, 6/F, Citygate Outlets, 18-20 Tat Tung Rd, Tung Chung, Hong Kong
A Cantonese restaurant located inside Citygate Outlets.
If you happened to miss out on the Tsim Sha Tsui restaurants mentioned earlier,
eating dim sum here will definitely ease that regret!
This place actually sees more local diners than Korean tourists!
Nabe Urawa Citygate
📍 Nabe Urawa
號舖 Lantau Island, 大嶼山東涌達東路18-20號東薈城1樓119, Tung Chung, Hong Kong
Nabe Urawa, which I recommended as one of the Causeway Bay restaurants earlier,
also has a branch here at the airport-area outlet!
