Back home in Korea, Five Guys has opened its doors,
but the long wait times always made me give up.
In Hong Kong, you can enjoy it without any waiting!

A place worth visiting during your Hong Kong trip,
I'll introduce Five Guys Hong Kong in the following order!

1. Five Guys Hong Kong Locations
In Korea, there are already many branches in places like Seoul Station, Yeouido, Express Bus Terminal, and Gangnam.
Among the Five Guys Hong Kong locations, about 4 are easily accessible for tourists!
These are the Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, Wan Chai, and Causeway Bay branches.

Besides these, there are 5 more locations, making a total of 9 branches.
Choose the one closest to your Hong Kong travel itinerary.
I've personally visited the North Point, Causeway Bay, and Wan Chai branches!

Central Branch

This is the most popular branch!
It takes about 5-7 minutes on foot from Hong Kong Station & Central Station.
It's also a 5-minute walk from IFC Mall, making it perfect to drop by while sightseeing.
Wan Chai Branch

A downtown branch with a local vibe.
It's a 2-minute walk from Wan Chai Station Exit A3.
Located in the city center.
This area is popular with office workers for lunch, so it can get busy during lunchtime.
Causeway Bay Branch

Popular among younger crowds!
A 3-minute walk from Causeway Bay Station.
It's right in front of Times Square, a major shopping mall.
Head up the stairs, and you'll find a massive store.
With many shopping malls and local restaurants nearby, this branch is very popular with tourists!
Recommended Visiting Hours for Five Guys Hong Kong?
Around 1 PM, which is lunchtime for Hong Kong office workers,
it can get a bit crowded!
So, if you're planning to go for lunch, I recommend visiting around 11:30 AM or 12 PM.
Afternoons and evenings tend to be more relaxed.

2. How to Order at Five Guys
Even though I was in Hong Kong,
it felt more like I was in America!
First, the interior is uniquely designed
to resemble an American burger joint.
What's more, almost all the staff seemed to be Westerners!

I wonder if it's their way of recreating that authentic American vibe, or something else!
Plus, all the staff were super outgoing!
They were taking orders while singing and dancing.
Don't be shy, let's try ordering!

The Five Guys ordering method allows for customization!
You can create it exactly to your taste.
You get to choose your veggies, sauces, and bread.

Ordering "All The Way" is the easiest.
It includes all veggies and standard sauces.
Note that steak sauce, BBQ sauce, and chili sauce are not included with this option.
If you want them, just say "ALL + additional sauces."

If there's one vegetable you need to be careful with, it's definitely the jalapeño!
They use raw jalapeños, not pickled ones.
Turns out, they're spicier than you might expect!
If you're sensitive to spice, I'd recommend asking them to leave it out.

For those of you surprised by the receipt!
Yes, HKD 110 is correct.
That's ~$15 for one burger.
Even back home, it's around ~$11.

A McDonald's set meal was HKD 53.
Even for Hong Kong, it feels pretty pricey.
3. Five Guys Menu Recommendations: Burgers & Fries
Five Guys Menu Recommendation: Burgers
There aren't too many burger options, so it's not hard to choose.
But my personal top pick is the Bacon Cheeseburger!

The bacon is deliciously crispy and perfectly cooked!
And it comes with plenty of cheese.
Plus, if you're trying to watch your diet?
You can opt for a lettuce wrap or a bowl instead of a bun.

They even have forks and knives available at Five Guys!
I've tried eating it this way, and it works out perfectly.
Personally, I think the patty is the star at Five Guys, not necessarily the bun itself.
I'd recommend replacing those bun calories with a delicious milkshake instead! ^^
Five Guys Menu Recommendation: Fries

You can choose between Five Guys Style or Cajun.
For Cajun, you can even ask for the seasoning powder separately.
If you're feeling a bit confident with your English,
try asking for the Five Guys Style fries, but also a little bit of the Cajun powder on the side.
Can you give me the original Five Guys style fries, but give me a little bit of the cajun powder apart as well?

And another thing to keep in mind...
It's all about the fry size!
They have Little, Regular, and Large.
If you're dining with two people, I recommend the Little size.

The Little size is actually quite generous, enough for two people to share.
The Regular is a challenging amount even for three people.
And the Large... well, I've never even dared to order it!
Personally, I do prefer the original style.
Cajun is tasty too, but I find myself getting tired of it quickly.
It's also less crispy than the original style.
4. Five Guys Milkshake Varieties & Menu Recommendations

The milkshake is truly the cheat code on the Five Guys menu.
Honestly, it's the best across all burger joints and milkshake places combined.....
It's super rich and decadent.
And while the price is a bit wicked at HKD 60,
you simply can't skip it!

When you go to Five Guys, the burger + fries + milkshake combo is practically the unwritten rule!
You can even customize your milkshake!

Five Guys Milkshake Base Flavors:
Vanilla
Chocolate
Strawberry
Banana
Salted Caramel
Peanut Butter
Oreo Cookie
Malted Milk

Recommended Five Guys Milkshake Combinations
Chocolate + Peanut Butter – A sweet and rich chocolate peanut flavor
Salted Caramel + Oreo – The ultimate sweet and salty combo
Strawberry + Vanilla – A classic, but a bestseller for a reason!
Strawberry + Oreo – My personal favorite Five Guys milkshake!

You can add whipped cream to your Five Guys milkshake!
But it's already incredibly sweet.
I've never tried it myself!
You can even add bacon
to your Five Guys milkshake!
I almost tried it, but the staff recommended against it, so I didn't!
If you *really* want to try it, they say it pairs well with salted caramel or the classic vanilla!
For those who like dipping fries, I recommend vanilla, salted caramel, or peanut butter!

My all-time favorite used to be the Oreo milkshake.
But then a staff member recommended the Strawberry + Oreo milkshake, and let me tell you, this combo is pure bliss!
The color difference isn't as much as you'd think with Oreo,
but when you drink it, you get those delightful bits of blended strawberries – it's so delicious!
Plus, there's no extra charge for mixing two flavors like that!
I highly recommend the Strawberry + Oreo combination!
When ordering, make sure to ask for "1 Mixed Milkshake" so they don't ring up two separate orders!
5. Five Guys Delivery and Online Order Precautions

Here's a fantastic tip for anyone who might feel a bit shy about ordering in English!
You can simply order online
directly from the Hong Kong Five Guys website!
After ordering, you just pick it up at the store.

You can place an order if you have an email address!
You'll also need to enter a phone number to proceed to the next screen,
but since reservation details are sent via both phone and email,
you can still order even if you don't have a Hong Kong number.
Interestingly, I found that even entering a Korean number (starting with 8210~) worked!

Beware of "Plain"!
When choosing your Five Guys order, always select all toppings.
A crucial point to remember is NOT to order "Plain."
If you do, all the vegetable toppings will be omitted!

Five Guys Delivery
Let's find out how to get Five Guys delivered.
You can get delivery through the Hong Kong Foodpanda app!

Delivery fees vary by distance,
but they're usually on the pricier side, around HK$30-50!
Fries can get soggy with delivery, so I highly recommend eating them fresh at the restaurant!

So, that's a comprehensive guide to ordering at Five Guys Hong Kong, including menu recommendations, milkshakes, and delivery!
While prices in Hong Kong reflect the local cost of living and might be higher than in some other places,
you can enjoy your desired burger and Five Guys milkshake right away without long waits or queues.
I definitely recommend checking it out during your trip to Hong Kong!
