When planning for Hong Kong Disneyland tickets with kids,

adding a DPA can really inflate the family travel budget.

If visiting Arendelle is your main goal,

you might be wondering which ticket option is best.

After visiting with my child during the Christmas season,

I highly recommend the Early Entry Pass over DPA.

I'm going to share why I didn't find DPA worthwhile and

my positive experience with the Early Entry Pass.

A Perfect Size for Kids

I've been to every Disneyland except Orlando Disney World,

but Hong Kong was truly wonderful for visiting with kids.

Some say its smaller size is a drawback,

but for me, that was actually a big advantage.

When you're with kids, managing the walking distance

is often more important than the sheer size of the park.

Plus, there's the Arendelle area!

If your child loves Elsa,

this section alone is a reason to visit.

My daughter absolutely adored it.

Early Entry Pass Over DPA: My Recommendation

If you're visiting with a child who loves Arendelle,

I recommend the Early Entry Pass over DPA.

The 3-attraction DPA doesn't include any Arendelle attractions,

and even the 8-attraction DPA doesn't feature Wandering Oaken's Sliding Sleighs.

Since our family wanted to experience both, we opted for the Early Entry Pass.

This pass allows you to enter up to an hour before official opening

and use facilities operating during that time.

Please note, a separate park admission ticket and park visit reservation are still required.

As soon as we entered, I headed straight for Arendelle.

We rode Frozen Ever After right away,

and then Wandering Oaken's Sliding Sleighs

without waiting even a minute!

After leisurely browsing the souvenir shop

If you're planning to dine inside the park,

compare meal vouchers in advance.

If it's a meal you'll be having anyway,

I recommend finding a way to eat it a bit cheaper.

However, the on-site price of the menu you want to eat

and the inclusions of the meal voucher should align.

It's best to check the participating restaurants, times, and even kids' menus

before making your choice.

When I visited, at the Royal Banquet,

you could even find Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and Kimchi.

While it was a better choice than other menus because I was craving a taste of Korea,

please keep in mind that Disneyland food isn't exactly gourmet 🤣
