Hong Kong Citygate Outlet Review 2026: Stores to Skip

Planning a shopping spree at a Hong Kong outlet?

Citygate Outlets is quite massive, spanning from Basement 2 all the way up to the 7th floor!

Seriously, you'd need more than a day just to explore everything it has to offer!

That's why today I'm going to share some insights on which stores at Hong Kong's Citygate Outlets you might want to skip.

Use this post as your guide to save precious time on your Hong Kong outlet adventure!

Let's dive right in!

The North Face

It's a brand I usually adore, but my visit here was a bit of a letdown.

With discounts only around 20-30%, it hardly felt like an 'outlet' deal worth making a special trip for.

After a quick online price comparison, I even found some items cheaper on the web!

The store itself felt a bit cluttered and unorganized, which didn't help.

Usually, a messy store means amazing deals, but not here!

I'll delve into this more in a separate post, but for outdoor gear at Hong Kong outlets, my top picks are definitely Nike and Adidas.

Under Armour

My experience here was quite similar to The North Face store.

They had a wide variety of items, but surprisingly few that truly caught my eye as a must-have deal.

Even though signs boasted up to 50% off, nothing really jumped out at me as a compelling purchase.

My advice? Try on the items you like here, then head online for your purchase.

Skechers

The Skechers store was remarkably quiet.

There were barely any customers around.

See that almost empty store? Yep, that was it.

When I visited, it was peak season, and other stores were absolutely buzzing with shoppers.

Especially brands like Nike, Adidas, and Puma were overflowing with people, a true testament to the season's popularity!

But in this store? Crickets. Seriously, you could hear a pin drop.

You can practically feel the difference just by looking at the Puma photo, right?

Curious, I popped inside only to find that the discounts were, well, just mediocre.

Honestly, Skechers stores downtown often offer a permanent 20-30% discount anyway.

So, there's really no compelling reason to make a special trip to the outlet for similar savings.

Popular items were also few and far between.

Overall, it was a miss, so feel free to skip this one!

Crocs

The Crocs store at Hong Kong Citygate Outlets felt like it barely had any discounts worth noting.

When I popped in, it seemed like there were more staff members than actual customers!

Still, I decided to take a look, especially for the Jibbitz (Crocs charms).

It made the 'outlet' label feel almost entirely misleading.

While they had a decent variety and some small discounts, I didn't feel it was worth making a purchase there.

You'd likely find better deals and a wider selection by shopping online.

And forget about bundle deals or extra discounts for multiple purchases – there were none.

Coach

Now, this isn't a 'don't recommend the brand' kind of tip, but more of a 'don't recommend this specific store' advice!

There are actually two Coach stores within the Hong Kong outlet.

And the one I'd recommend you skip is the smaller of the two!

The photo above shows the main Coach Outlet store, which spans a significant area, covering units 244-247.

And the photo below is store number 290, labeled as the Men's Factory.

The store in the lower photo is quite small, so you can easily skip it.

If Coach is on your radar, head straight to the larger 244-247 store!

When I first spotted the smaller store, it was packed with people, making me think there must be some incredible deals inside!

But it turns out, the selection and prices are pretty much the same as the larger store.

Save yourself the hassle of navigating the cramped smaller Coach store at Citygate Outlets; head straight to the spacious main one instead!

Diesel

Diesel bags are super hot these days, aren't they?

I think it's because they perfectly match the MZ generation's vibe and are great for making a statement.

I also went in, thinking I might pick one up if the discount rate was good.

While the discount rate was decent, it turned out to be more expensive than online prices in Korea.

Some colors at the Citygate Outlets store in Hong Kong were discounted up to 50%.

Even then, it was only slightly cheaper than online prices in Korea.

The staff were friendly, so it's worth taking a look around.

But what's the point if the actual price is still high, no matter how good the discount is, right?

I highly recommend checking prices in Korea before making a purchase.

Chloé

Chloé is a brand that usually offers good discounts.

They often have sales online and even in department stores in France.

So, I expected big discounts at the outlet.

However, for the somewhat nicer bags, the maximum discount was only about 40%.

I'd recommend buying online instead.

The Chloé store at Citygate Outlets was quite spacious.

But surprisingly, I didn't see many pretty items or Chloé's bestsellers.

Lululemon

The Lululemon store at the Hong Kong outlet is on the 3rd floor.

Surprisingly, many stores on the 3rd floor had queues.

Sandro, Maje, and Lululemon all had lines.

Even when the Lululemon queue finally cleared, it was still crowded inside.

What's more...

The most serious issue was the fitting room line.

Seriously, to try something on, you had to wait behind about 20 people.

With no time, it was impossible!

If you know your size well, visiting the Citygate Outlets branch might be okay.

But if you need to try things on, I strongly recommend skipping it.

Also, because there were so many people, the store wasn't very tidy inside.

I looked around for a bit but ended up leaving because it was too chaotic.

I'm someone who needs to try on clothes before buying, so the excessively long fitting room queue was a major drawback.

Hong Kong Outlet Stores You Can Skip

Feel free to skip them and shop more efficiently!

While the 8 stores I introduced today aren't must-visits,

there are plenty of other worthwhile stores to check out.
