Our first Hong Kong dining spot is in Wan Chai,
and it's The Grand Buffet.
📍62nd Floor, Hopewell Centre, Wan Chai
Currently, it's Hong Kong's only 360-degree revolving restaurant.
As your seat slowly revolves during your meal,
you'll get ever-changing views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island from the 62nd floor – that's its biggest charm!
From seafood to Cantonese BBQ, fried dishes,
teppanyaki, Chinese cuisine, Hong Kong specialties, desserts, and more,
the variety of dishes is quite extensive.
When I visited,
I tried everything from the seafood corner to various meat dishes, and
managed to tick off all the Hong Kong must-eats like dim sum, Peking duck, and egg tarts!
It's especially recommended for family trips with parents or
for special occasions where you want to make the meal a bit more memorable, like an anniversary.
Also, this place operates on a reservation-only basis,
so walk-ins are difficult!
It's highly recommended to book in advance!

Lunch is available daily from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM,
and dinner runs from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Personally, if you're thinking about value for money, lunch is great,
but if you want to see the night view, dinner is the way to go.
I've tried both lunch and dinner,
and personally, I recommend dinner more!
If you go for the first dinner slot at 5:30 PM, you can still catch
the daytime view of Hong Kong and
then witness the stunning night view after sunset.
Dinner is pricier because it includes premium dishes like lobster and foie gras!
Of course, if you'd like to experience this place but
the price point feels a bit much,
lunch still offers plenty of delicious options,
so it's a fantastic choice too!
The Hopewell Centre elevator, in particular, offers such a spectacular night view that you'll want to ride it multiple times.
Even if you don't dine there,
the Hopewell Centre elevator is free to ride,
making it an absolute must-visit in Hong Kong at night!

Chilli Fagara, a Sichuan restaurant located near the Mid-Levels Escalator!

When you're craving bold, fiery dishes in Hong Kong,
this is my top recommendation!
Chilli Fagara is a Szechuan restaurant that has been operating since 2005,
specializing in authentic Szechuan cuisine.
Its menu is characterized by the unique 'mala' numbing sensation
and intense spiciness that defines Szechuan dishes.
Among its most popular dishes (especially a hit with Korean visitors)
are Mapo Tofu, Szechuan Beef BBQ, and Dan Dan Noodles!
I've been here countless times;
it's hands down my favorite spot.

Located on the 31st floor of the V Point building, this bar & grill restaurant
offers stunning panoramic cityscapes and
incredible harbor views through its floor-to-ceiling windows.
It serves fusion Italian cuisine,
with steak and pasta as its signature dishes.
The last apartment I stayed at for my month-long stay in Hong Kong was just a 4-minute walk from ALTO,
so I frequented it whenever I wanted to catch the night view.

If you're looking for a restaurant with an incredible Hong Kong night view, this is it!
In terms of the night view alone, it's actually much more beautiful
than the Grand Buffet.
At the Grand Buffet, when it starts to get dark during dinner,
they turn on the indoor lights.
This causes reflections on the panoramic windows,
making it surprisingly difficult to capture good photos of the night view!
If capturing stunning photos is your priority,
ALTO is the ultimate spot for Hong Kong's night view.
The interior is gorgeous, but
there's also a rooftop bar upstairs!
It's a fantastic spot to enjoy a drink with the night view after dinner –
definitely a must-visit in Hong Kong!
They even have a DJ playing, but it's never too loud or intrusive,
It's a great place to chat over fries and beer!
