April Hong Kong Weather
The last month that's great
for traveling in the first half of the year!

If you want to visit Hong Kong when the weather is good,
you should go no later than April.
Truth be told, it starts getting really hot from May,
so if you miss the window for a first-half Hong Kong trip,
I recommend going in the second half of the year, after October.

What's the perceived temperature like in Hong Kong in April?
The average temperature is 20~26°C.
It might be quite sunny during the day, but overall,
the weather in Hong Kong is absolutely lovely.
It feels a lot like spring weather in Korea.

During the day, almost everyone wears short sleeves.
Mornings and evenings can be a bit cool,
so a light cardigan or jacket is a good idea.
Humidity is still above 70%, making it muggier than Korea!

From this time, it tends to rain more.
However, it usually comes in sudden showers,
so a small umbrella that doubles as a parasol is enough to carry around!

Among Hong Kong's weather factors,
typhoons are what can truly disrupt your trip.
Hong Kong's typhoon season
runs from May to October.

3. Why Shoes are Your Most Important April Hong Kong Outfit Essential
One absolute must-pack for your April Hong Kong wardrobe
is, without a doubt, comfortable shoes!

It really feels like Hong Kong has more inclines
than flat paths.

And especially in Hong Kong Central, a definite must-see tourist hotspot,
It's no coincidence the Mid-Levels Escalators are there!
You'll encounter hills, stairs, and slopes constantly.

When the Hong Kong weather is lovely in April,
if you head to Central, Soho, or The Peak area,
those inclines can truly take your breath away.
Many people, after slipping on some stylish shoes,

4. My Top Pick: Value-for-Money Hush Puppies Leather Loafers

For my Hong Kong trip this time,
to fully enjoy the beautifully crisp April Hong Kong weather — perhaps one of the last pleasant stretches of the year —
I made sure to pack incredibly comfortable and budget-friendly shoes!

The shoes I picked were none other than
the epitome of comfort and unbelievable value for money:
genuine leather loafers from Hush Puppies!
I typically have wider feet,
so I often size up to 235 instead of a standard 230,
but even with Hush Puppies shoes in my usual size 230,
they fit perfectly, as if custom-made just for me!

First off, they're genuine leather, which makes them incredibly soft!
These aren't those synthetic shoes you wear for one season and toss;
they're made with quality genuine leather,
so you can enjoy them comfortably for a long, long time!

The cushioning is also fantastic,
so even during my extensive walking tours around Hong Kong,
my feet weren't tired at all, no matter how much I walked!

Plus, the basic design means
they paired perfectly with any April Hong Kong outfit I chose,
and they've been just right for my work commute post-trip!
If you're someone who loves to wear stylish shoes instead of sneakers,
but still needs that all-day comfort for your feet,
and you want to maximize your travel time walking around during Hong Kong's beautiful April weather,
these are absolutely perfect for you!
