And it was one of those brands I absolutely had to buy whenever I went to the US.
This time, I scored some amazing deals at the American Eagle outlet store in Hong Kong!

30% off when you buy 1 item
50% off when you buy 3 items
60% off when you buy 5 items
Up to 70% off when you buy 7 items!
Isn't that wild? The more items you buy, the higher the discount rate gets, so it's more advantageous to buy several!
As someone who always seeks extreme value for money, I naturally bought 7 items!
It even applies to basic items like t-shirts, hoodies, and jeans, so you definitely don't want to miss out!
Accessories had a separate buy-one-get-one-free promotion.
Aerie panties were on a special promotion: 5 for HKD 150.
Beyond panties, Aerie bras, sports bras, sleeveless tops, and more were all included in the 7-item count!
It was truly the best way to stock up on essentials!
2. How to get to American Eagle at Citygate Outlets, Hong Kong

Citygate Outlets is directly connected to Tung Chung MTR Station.
It is quite far from the city center, about an hour and a half away.
Since it's a bit of a journey, you'll need to go with the mindset of grabbing several items for your Hong Kong shopping list!
On the bright side, traveling by MTR is convenient.
It's also close to the airport, making it perfect for shopping on your last day of travel!
Try to grab some bargains before heading to the airport!
If you go in the morning, it's quiet, so you can shop comfortably!
It does get crowded in the late afternoon.
It's also a great idea to stay 1-2 nights at accommodation near the airport and tour Lantau Island.
That's because Disneyland, the outlet, and Ngong Ping are all located on Lantau.
I highly recommend the 4-star, great-value Lantau Island hotel I stayed at!
There's even a free shuttle bus to Citygate Outlets.

I visited the downtown store located in Times Square, Causeway Bay.
The American Eagle store downtown was smaller than I expected, so there wasn't much to see.
They did have discounts, but only around 20%?
Downtown stores mostly feature new arrivals, so the discount rates are lower.

I saved over 2000 Hong Kong Dollars!
That's a profit of about ~$292!
It was always hard to buy clothes for my husband because of the lack of sizes,
but American Eagle has many big sizes for men over 180cm (5'11"), so I was even able to buy XXL!
So, buying clothes for my husband was definitely a must-clear item on my Hong Kong shopping list this time.
I also highly recommend their men's short-sleeve shirts, perfect for travel!
With a variety of designs and sizes, I snagged three!
There were also plenty of comfortable short-sleeve t-shirts.
Sizes and colors were diverse too.
Among the women's products, Aerie items are naturally a must-see!
Aerie is American Eagle's sister brand,
and it's their innerwear & activewear line.
There was a huge variety of sports bras!
And lots of leggings and yoga wear too.

They're great for workouts and the material can even be worn as a swimsuit alternative, so I bought three!
The colors were varied, and the comfortable fit was simply the best.

I have too many jeans already, so I passed!
There were also styles like cargo pants, but the fit didn't suit me, so I passed on those too.
Although I didn't buy American Eagle jeans this time because I already have plenty,
they definitely offer a wide range from slim fit to wide fit, so there's plenty to find!
