Exploring Hisaya-odori Park

Hisaya-odori Park is a unique, modern space where a lush public park seamlessly blends with stylish retail shops. Since its grand opening in the autumn of 2020, it has become a major lifestyle hub, hosting around 40 diverse venues, including popular national brands, trendy restaurants, and boutique lifestyle shops!

The park is incredibly clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. Having such a spacious, green sanctuary right in the heart of downtown Nagoya is incredibly refreshing. On my first day, I grabbed a bite to eat and immediately headed over here for a relaxing stroll.

One of the highlights is the wide-open view of the iconic Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER standing proudly at the end of the park! The night views here are absolutely spectacular. The area near the shops is a famous photo zone where you'll see locals and travelers alike capturing the perfect shot. I highly recommend stopping by in the evening to snap some photos!

When I visited, the weather was exceptionally mild, so I even got to see some early flowers starting to bloom. On a clear, sunny day, this park must look absolutely breathtaking. It was a bit cloudy during my walk, which was a tiny shame, but it was still a wonderful experience.

Strolling through spaces like this really makes you realize how eco-friendly and green Nagoya is as a city.

If you are staying near Sakae Station, I highly recommend spending an afternoon or evening at Hisaya-odori Park. It is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet, peaceful walk and soak in the local atmosphere!
