Discover Hiroshima's best spots for anime figures, gacha, and character goods near Hondori. Explore Animate, Lashinbang, and more for unique finds!
During my trip to Hiroshima,
I wanted to explore gachapon and anime merchandise,
so I visited three stores near Hondori.
Animate, C-pla, and Taito Station
are all clustered together in the area,
but each store had a different vibe and unique things to see.
For those of you looking for figures, character merchandise,
or gachapon shops in Hiroshima,
I'll put together a guide to the places I personally explored.
Animate Hiroshima
Operating Hours: 11:00 ~ 20:00
📍Tax-Free Available / Separate payment on 2F, 4F
Animate Hiroshima is
just a 4-minute walk from Hondori Station, which is in the heart of Hiroshima,
and about a 5-minute walk from Peace Memorial Park,
making it a super convenient stop during your trip.
In one building, you'll find not only Animate,
but also Rashinban (which sells pre-owned merchandise),
a game center, and even a gachapon shop, all together!
It’s fantastic for shopping for anime goods and figures.

If you're mainly interested in Animate,
you'll want to explore the 1F Only Shop and the 2F Main Store.
But if you're also looking for figures or pre-owned merchandise,
definitely check out Rashinban on 4F as well.
First up, let's talk about the gachapon shop on the 1st floor.
The gachapon machines were packed wall-to-wall along the walls,
and they were divided into a 'Variety Zone' with lots of miscellaneous goods and miniatures,
and a 'Fancy Zone' primarily featuring
cute characters.
Next to the gachapon shop,
there were also crane games where you could try to win
plushies and character merchandise.
After checking out the gachapon and crane game corner on the 1st floor,
I took the escalator up to the Animate Main Store
on the 2nd floor.
When I visited, they had a wide variety of merchandise from popular series, including
Jujutsu Kaisen, Oshi no Ko, My Hero Academia,
and Demon Slayer.
There was an especially huge selection of small items
like acrylic stands, keychains, can badges, cards,
clear files, towels, and plushies.
While they did sell some figures,
overall, there was a higher proportion of easier-to-buy merchandise like
acrylic goods and blind box items.
I ended up picking out a Giyu character keychain
from the Demon Slayer corner.
Since all the merchandise for each series was gathered in one spot,
it was super easy to find and pick my favorite character.
The 3rd floor was selling trading cards and
books, but since that wasn't really my interest,
I skipped it and headed straight up to Rashinban on the 4th floor.
Rashinban on the 4th floor is a store that specializes in
pre-owned anime and game figures.
While Animate on the 2nd floor focused more on simpler merchandise,
Rashinban's displays were primarily centered around figures.
Figures from popular series like One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Chainsaw Man were incredibly diverse,
and even for the same product, prices varied slightly depending on whether it was opened or its overall condition.
While it's not as massive as stores in big cities like Tokyo or Osaka,
for a regional shop, it's quite sizable,
and I even found some items I hadn't seen in the major cities!
Even though it's a second-hand store, there were unopened items mixed in,
and each product had a price tag,
making it easy to compare condition and price as I browsed.
Chiikawa dolls filled an entire corner, with a diverse range of sizes and characters.
If you couldn't find the merchandise you wanted at Animate,
or if you're looking for discontinued figures and older goods,
I highly recommend checking out Lashinbang too!
C-pla Hiroshima
Operating Hours: 10:00 AM ~ 10:00 PM
C-pla Hiroshima is
a specialty gacha store where you can find
many types of gacha all in one place.
There are over 400 types on the first floor,
and over 500 types in the basement,
making it a massive collection of over 900 types across both floors!
Despite its large scale, it was less crowded than similar places in Osaka or Fukuoka,
making for a relaxed browsing experience.
If you're only visiting one gacha shop in Hiroshima,
this is definitely the one I'd recommend!
Inside the store, gacha machines were packed in tightly.
There were many Sanrio and other cute character products,
and the variety was quite impressive, including keyrings, pouches, and miniatures.
Heading down to the basement, the store space was even larger than the first floor,
and there were far more types of gacha machines.
With over 500 types gathered in one area,
it really took a while to look through everything.
For gacha enthusiasts,
I recommend setting aside plenty of time for your visit!
I had made a promise to myself to only do two gacha per day,
so after much deliberation, I chose and pulled a Crayon Shin-chan mood light.
And of the four types, I got Nene-chan's rabbit,
the one I most wanted to avoid!
Nothing ever goes my way...
Taito Station Hiroshima
Operating Hours: 10:00 AM ~ 12:00 AM (midnight)
Taito Station Hiroshima was also nearby,
so I just snapped a photo of the exterior.
It's a store centered around crane games and arcade games,
so if you want to try your hand at winning prize figures or plushies,
it might be a fun place to casually drop by.
If you're looking for anime goods or gacha shops in Hiroshima,
just exploring around Hondori was surprisingly fruitful.
For merchandise categorized by series, Animate was great;
for figures and used goods, Lashinbang;
and for gacha, C-pla was a fantastic spot to browse.
All three places are within walking distance,
so it was perfect to group them together and visit them
as part of my Hiroshima city itinerary.
If you're planning to explore Peace Memorial Park or the Hondori area,
definitely keep Animate Hiroshima, C-pla, and Taito Station
in mind as well!

These three stores are clustered near Hiroshima Hondori and are all within walking distance of each other. They are great to visit together as part of your Hiroshima city itinerary.
