For my Fukuoka trip this time, I wanted something a little different,
so I chose Hilltop Resort Fukuoka –
a place where I could truly indulge in a 'hocance' (hotel staycation)!
You can overlook Fukuoka city and its stunning night view from here,
and enjoy the natural hot spring public bath,
so I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an onsen hotel! 🧡

3. Hotel Exterior & Interior
When I arrived at Hilltop Resort Fukuoka,
the very first thing I noticed was how distinct the atmosphere felt
compared to hotels in Hakata or Tenjin.
It's a space nestled in nature on a hill,
offering a much more relaxed atmosphere than the city center,
making it absolutely perfect for a family trip!
(And I saw many families enjoying themselves here!)
If you're someone who loves exploring all the sights but also craves
a relaxed, leisurely time back at your accommodation,
I truly felt this place would be a perfect fit!
There's a free shuttle from Hakata Station to the hotel
that runs according to a timetable,
so be sure to check the times in advance and make the most of it!
4. Room Overview
Standard Twin Room
You'll find a variety of room types,
from those boasting city views to traditional Japanese-style rooms.
My main goal after sightseeing was to relax comfortably,
so I chose the Standard Twin Room!
We were assigned room 625.
Overall, the room had that calm and neat ambiance
unique to Japanese hotels.
With two **single beds** side by side,
it seems perfect for friends or siblings traveling together.
There was a convenient table, great for a bit of work,
and also a **small refrigerator**.
A **kettle** was provided, along with **tea bags and capsule coffee**,
perfect for a relaxing cup.
Like many Japanese hotels, the bathroom was compact,
but impeccably clean and well-maintained.
Beyond **shampoo, conditioner, and body wash**,
they also provided other amenities, so there was no need to bring my own!

5. Breakfast
🕖 Breakfast Hours: 7:00 AM ~ 10:00 AM
One of the things I personally looked forward to
at Hilltop Resort Fukuoka was **breakfast**.
Breakfast is served at **Hilltop Dining on the 5th floor**,
not as a buffet, but as a **morning set**.
From **seasonal salad** to **homemade charcoal-grilled meat**,
plus **eggs, bacon, yogurt, and fruit** –
it was a diverse and fresh meal,
making me feel truly pampered!
Being located on high ground, it was wonderful to enjoy breakfast while looking out at a
view that blends nature and the Fukuoka cityscape from the hotel!
The healing-filled view was truly beautiful 💚
6. Hotel Facilities
Natural Hot Spring Grand Bath
🕖 Operating Hours: 6:30 AM ~ 12:00 AM
One of the biggest reasons I chose this hotel was
the natural hot spring grand bath right inside the hotel!
The grand bath uses alkaline sodium bicarbonate natural hot spring water.
You can enjoy your soak while gazing at the lush greenery through the large windows,
so definitely give it a try!
Fitness Room
🕖 Operating Hours: 6:00 AM ~ 10:00 PM
The hotel also has a fitness room for guests,
so you can work out while enjoying views of the Fukuoka city!
For early birds, it would be perfect to exercise first thing in the morning,
then refresh yourself in the grand bath, and finally enjoy breakfast!
Dining
Inside the hotel, Hilltop Dining and Koyomi are also operating,
so you don't even need to go all the way to Tenjin or Hakata –
you can enjoy a fantastic meal right here at the hotel!
