Heytea Shanghai 2026: Must-Try Grape, Coconut, & Mango…

On Nanjing East Road alone, there are actually three Heytea branches. I visited two of them, starting with the Shimao Plaza location.

The Shimao Plaza branch is quite small inside, with limited seating as you can see in the photos. What's more, the Heytea area is open to the rest of the department store, so people who haven't even bought a drink from Heytea can sit there. This makes finding a seat pretty challenging!

There was some outdoor seating available at Heytea Shimao Plaza, but I visited in the summer and didn't even consider it 🤣. It would be a great option if you're visiting in the fall or winter of 2026!

To order at Heytea Shanghai, you simply scan the QR code found on the menu or near the entrance.

· Coconut Mango (芒芒甘露): A delightful blend of coconut, mango, and milk.

Once your order is placed, keep an eye on your order number. When it appears on the screen, show your number at the counter to pick up your drinks.

At the Heytea Shanghai Shimao Plaza branch, there were only 3-4 staff members despite the large number of customers, so it took quite a while for our drinks to be ready.

I ordered the Juicy Grape, and my friend got the Coconut Mango. The Juicy Grape was pleasant and tasted similar to a popular sparkling grape juice, which was fine. However, I found the Heytea Coconut Mango to be incredibly smooth and delicious!

Even as someone who isn't usually a big fan of coconut, I thought it was excellent after just one sip. So, if you love coconut, you'll absolutely adore this one!

My friend, a true coconut enthusiast, kept raving about the Coconut Mango throughout our trip, saying she wanted to grab one every time we passed a Heytea Shanghai cafe. While my Juicy Grape was tasty, its similarity to other drinks meant it wasn't quite a 'daily must-have' for me.

2. New World City Branch

The New World City department store is just a 3-4 minute walk from the Shimao Plaza branch, and it also has a Heytea Shanghai location on its first floor. If you're planning to visit Lillian Bakery at New World City, I highly recommend grabbing a Heytea drink and heading down to the basement level to enjoy it with some delicious Lillian egg tarts!

This branch felt much more spacious and comfortable than the Shimao location, with plenty of seating available.

They also had twice as many staff members as the Shimao branch. Looking at the numerous drinks waiting at the counter, it was clear that the order volume here was immense. Still, the drink pickup time felt pretty similar.

While Heytea does have branches in other countries like South Korea (in areas like Konkuk University and Garosu-gil), the prices there are generally higher than in China. So, if you find yourself loving Heytea's drinks, make sure to indulge to your heart's content while you're visiting Shanghai!
