A getaway to Bohol, Philippines with my college friends!

We booked a resort that has its own private beach,

along with rooms that can accommodate up to 5 people,

located right on Alona Beach!

📍 Location

Located right in the main commercial area of Alona Beach, super easy to get around

Great accessibility from Bohol Airport (about 20-30 minutes by car)

3. Resort Exterior & Interior

At the main entrance of Henann,

the path splits towards Tawala and Alona Beach.

Just follow the signs for Alona Beach!

This is the beautifully maintained exterior of

"Henann Resort Alona Beach"

My excitement was already through the roof! 💗

It was a hot day and we were a bit tired, but

they welcomed us with a refreshing iced ginger tea! 🍹

4. Room Condition

The room we booked was the

"Family Room"

It has 1 queen bed + 4 single beds,

so it was super comfortable for a group of 5!

Since it's great for sharing a single space as a family,

I highly recommend it for family travelers!

There are 2 sinks,

making it super convenient for a group!

The only downside was that there was only 1 shower booth,

so sharing it got a little tricky when we all wanted to wash up 😭

5. Swimming Pools

Henann Alona Beach

is one of the resorts with the most pools in Bohol,

boasting a total of 3 main swimming pools!

Each pool has its own distinct vibe and features,

so you can switch things up depending on your mood!

1️⃣ Beach Pool

09:00 AM – 12:00 AM (Usually)

If you head out toward the resort's private beach,

you'll find the Beach Pool right along the shoreline!

We loved swimming while looking out at the ocean,

and since the pool is so spacious,

both adults and kids were having a blast 🌊

With an open, panoramic ocean view as your backdrop,

it's also the perfect spot to lounge on a sunbed and relax 🏖️

While hanging out in the water, you can grab a drink

at the swim-up pool bar!

During Happy Hour, they offer a 1-for-1 cocktail special,

so you can enjoy two drinks for the price of one 🍹

2️⃣ Adults-Only Pool (Christina’s Pool)

10:00 AM – 06:00 PM

This is an adults-only pool for guests aged 16 and over,

and the water is deeper than the other pools.

It was lovely and relatively quiet compared to the other areas!

While it's smaller than the main pool,

it's a cozy and peaceful spot to take a dip 🏊🏻

3️⃣ Main Pool

08:00 AM – 08:30 PM

This is the largest pool, located right in the center of the resort!

It's connected to the pool-access rooms,

so you can jump straight into the water right from your balcony.

Tucked between the buildings, it's also great for escaping the direct midday sun.

If you're traveling with kids, staying in the main wing

would make swimming with the little ones so convenient!

6. Private Beach

The highlight I was looking forward to the most...

The Private Beach 🏖️

Without having to wander far from the resort,

the private beach is right at your doorstep, making it incredibly convenient!

Best of all, since it’s exclusive to resort guests,

the beach never feels overcrowded—a massive plus!

After swimming to your heart's content, as the sun begins to set,

you can witness a spectacular sunset

right here from the private beach 🌅

7. Breakfast

🍽️ Breakfast Hours

Daily 06:00 ~ 10:00

There are two breakfast venues: Sea Breeze Cafe (near the beach) and

Coral Café (lobby lounge)!

You can choose where to dine depending on the vibe you want.

Breakfast is served as a diverse buffet,

focusing on international dishes + local Filipino specialties!

1️⃣ Sea Breeze Cafe (Near the Beach)

This was the breakfast spot closer to our room,

located right by the beach.

It has the amazing perk of letting you enjoy breakfast while looking out at the ocean!

Since it's buffet-style,

we could comfortably pick and choose from a wide variety of dishes!

I piled my plate high with all my favorite brunch items,

and even had a comforting bowl of noodle soup to fuel up!

The fruits and desserts were absolutely delicious too!

Specifically, that yogurt was so incredibly tasty that I kept going back for more 🥹

2️⃣ Coral Café (Lobby Lounge)

This breakfast spot is located on the 2nd floor of the resort's lobby lounge.

Here, you can enjoy a relaxed meal

alongside lovely garden and pool views!

The breakfast buffet selection here

was very similar to the first breakfast venue.

Since the vibe of the two places is slightly different,

it was really nice to experience both during our stay!

Similar to the first day, I went with the classic combo of bread, sausage, and eggs, plus...

After fueling up with some fresh fruit,

I'm officially ready for the island hopping tour! 🤿

With its massive grounds, private beach,

and so many beautiful pools to choose from,

it really was the ultimate resort for a relaxing getaway.
