Hawaii Parasailing Location

The company is located at 1651 Ala Moana Blvd #600b, which is about a 30-minute walk from the heart of Waikiki.

We walked from the Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki, and it was perfect for some morning exercise and sightseeing along the way.

I was a bit confused by the exact location beforehand, but on the day of, the bright yellow ticket booth was impossible to miss.

Once you arrive at the harbor, you'll sign a safety waiver and get a sticker on the back of your hand indicating your chosen height, so there's no confusion.

When we went, there was just one Japanese family and two American families, making for a total of four groups. It wasn't crowded at all, allowing us to enjoy the experience at a leisurely pace.

My 1000-Foot Parasailing Review

The moment we started ascending, the wind rushed up, and I felt my body naturally lift into the sky.

It was scarier than I thought, and I gripped the ropes so tightly that I ended up with a slight bruise on my arm, haha!

But once we were up there, it was so peaceful, and it felt like we had the whole sky to ourselves. The thrill was just right, and I think I spent the whole time smiling.

The views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from 1000 feet up were simply indescribable.

Since it was morning, the sunlight added a vibrant, lively feel to the whole experience. I highly recommend this activity to anyone looking for a thrilling honeymoon adventure!

Good to Know Tips //

Before you take off, the staff will ask you how much you want to dip into the water on the way down. I loved that they let us choose how much we wanted to get wet.

Since it was my first time and I was a bit scared, I asked for just a tiny dip, and they really just gave my backside a quick "shabu-shabu" style splash — it was over in an instant, haha! Next time, I'm definitely asking for the full dunk!

There's also an optional photo package where they take fun, staged photos, like a "being eaten by a shark" concept. However, none of the groups on our boat opted for it.

I brought motion sickness medication from home but forgot to take it on the day of. Surprisingly, the ride was faster than turtle snorkeling, and I didn't feel any motion sickness at all.

Still, if you're prone to seasickness, I'd recommend taking medication beforehand just to be safe.

At the end, it's customary to leave a tip for the crew before disembarking.

A Must-Do Experience in Waikiki

Parasailing offers a completely different charm than a helicopter tour, so I strongly recommend it for anyone who wants a more hands-on experience.
